True healthcare has always extended far beyond the walls of a hospital or a clinic. It lives on the ground, in the heart of our communities, where basic awareness and essential resources can fundamentally alter lives.
Menstrual hygiene is a cornerstone of reproductive health and basic human dignity. Yet, for millions of girls and women in underserved communities, access to safe sanitary products and health education remains a luxury. This gap not only impacts their physical well-being but often restricts their education, mobility, and confidence.
I am deeply humbled to have supported this vital on-ground menstrual hygiene kit distribution initiative in collaboration with the Nanhi Pari Foundation and Sun Pharma.
Providing these essentials—sanitary pads, soap, and tissues—is a direct step toward breaking taboos, preventing infections, and restoring confidence. Every kit delivered represents a message to these young women: You deserve comfort, care, and health security every single month.
Thank you to the team at Nanhi Pari Foundation for their tireless work on the ground and to Sun Pharma for making this initiative possible. Together, we can build a world where healthcare and dignity are accessible to all.

"The Art of Uterine Reconstruction: Open Myomectomy Edition"

Why We Still Choose Open Myomectomy in 2026

In the era of robotics and laparoscopy, is there still a place for "Open" surgery? Absolutely. A successful Open Myomectomy is about more than just a larger incision; it’s about managing complex anatomy with maximum safety. This procedure was the best choice for this specific patient to ensure a thorough removal of the myoma while carefully preserving the uterine wall.
Fast Facts:
Recovery: Usually 4-6 weeks for full activity.
Focus: Uterine preservation and symptom relief.
Outcome: A healthier, fibroid-free life!
Health is not "one size fits all." Every surgical decision is tailored to the patient’s unique needs.
