🌙 The first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah are among the most valuable days in Islam.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that righteous deeds during these days are especially beloved to Allah.
It is narrated:
“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days…”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
What is recommended to do: • fast, especially on the Day of Arafah — the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah; • read the Qur’an more often; • make du’a and dhikr; • give sadaqah; • pray more and do good deeds.
📿 Common phrases to recite: — “Allahu Akbar” — “Alhamdulillah” — “La ilaha illa Allah”
✨ The 9th day is the Day of Arafah. According to a hadith, fasting on this day is a means of forgiveness for the sins of the previous year and the coming year.
🕋 The 10th day is Eid al-Adha, the festival of sacrifice and devotion to Allah.
May these days become a time of purification, mercy, and drawing closer to Allah.
⚠️ TIP: Get both versions — the General and the Muslim. Mix them together, and your evenings with your child will become even more engaging and meaningful.
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her):
“I asked the Messenger of Allah: O Messenger of Allah, what do you think—if I come to know which night is the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), what should I say in it?
The Prophet ﷺ said: Say: ‘O Allah, indeed You are Most Forgiving, You love to forgive, so forgive me.’ (Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuḥibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni).” (Reported by Tirmidhi)
Commentary: This is the best supplication (du‘a) a person can make on that night. Whoever recites this supplication will receive goodness in this world (Dunya) and in the Hereafter (Akhirah), in sha Allah.
