📌God will never require you to abandon integrity in order to serve Him. Throughout Scripture, deceit, manipulation, cunning, and dishonesty are condemned — even when someone claims they are being done for a “good cause.”

Pay attention to people. Some of you have witnessed the lies from the lips of those claiming to help. Ask God to show you the truth. If what you say is true when you say you want justice for Asha, ASK God to reveal what is hidden, and He WILL. The Bible says you will know them by their fruit.

One thing I’m sure of is the God I serve will NEVER give you an assignment that requires you to be cunning, sneaky, shady, or deceitful. If you truly stand for righteousness, then STAND for righteousness. Speak up when something is not right. Tell the truth against their lies. Don’t you know that God is mightier than this evil? Otherwise, we will continue having this same conversation for 26 more years… asking what happened to Asha Degree — regurgitating the same ridiculous narratives that have been “fed” to us by the ones responsible for keeping the truth covered up.

🔴When I interviewed Terry Fleming — the man who found Asha Degree’s book bag in 2001 — he trusted me enough to speak openly and help answer questions people have had for more than 25 years. For that, I will always be grateful.

One thing Terry asked of me was simple: quote him accurately.

Sometimes, when doing this type of work, we have to make decisions that are in the best interest of other people. A person’s health status is not our business to tell — especially when it has nothing to do with the facts of the case itself.

I made the decision not to share certain personal information about Terry because my priority was protecting his dignity, his privacy, and most importantly, his safety. Too many people connected to the Asha Degree case who have spoken out over the years have later passed away from cancer or under circumstances that many people still question. Because of that, I refused to put anything out that could make someone vulnerable or give anyone the opportunity to misuse that information in any way.

Unfortunately, I cannot control what other people choose to say or share. A local attorney recently appeared on a podcast after reaching out to Terry to confirm my interview, and during that conversation, Terry’s health status was shared publicly. I’m beyond disappointed.

Terry Fleming was not accused of harming Asha Degree. He was a man who came forward with information and trusted me enough to speak honestly. I wanted to leave him with his pride and dignity intact.

At the end of the day, regardless of who is sharing information, ask yourself – “Is it true?” and “Is it necessary?”

It’s about the truth, accountability, and ultimately justice for a little girl who never got the chance to grow up.

Please continue to keep Terry Fleming in your prayers and ask the Lord to cover and protect him. We serve a mighty God, and He sees all.

Psalm 11:7
For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice: the upright will see his face.
