I feel like it's very important for our lyrics/music to first minister to us.
Because Sometimes as musicians, we get carried away with the performance, The streams, the numbers, the business (especially in this part of the world right now, with at the way the economy is going) And we are not so concerned with whether this song is truly blessing lives or not.

and from what I've seen, most of the times, we are not even bothered to know if this song is a blessing to us - the artistes; & we do not even take advantage of the song.

I believe that when the Holy Spirit inspires us with these songs, Inasmuch as he wants us to be the channel through which others will be blessed, he wants us to be blessed as well.

So, from a certain point in my life, I intentionally started listening to my songs, attentively not just to critique, but to receive.

I listen from a 3rd person perspective & receive the blessing & the message that the Holy Spirit passes through the song & I've been blessed.

So I urge every Christian creative out there, every artist, be a partaker of the blessing God is using you to serve to the world.

So when you see me posting “THIS YEAR IS STILL MY YEAR”, it’s not just content, it’s my confession, my conviction, my affirmation and my reality.
