I think that, by now we all know that getting a great mix isn't a matter of expensive plugins or hardware. What truly matters starts with your project organization, track naming, color coding, etc. But, even caring about those aspects, many times you don't manage to get the desired results.

In this video I'll show you what I learnt in my experience as a session musician and recording/mix engineer; what makes the real difference when recording by yourself and/or when you get tracks from collaborators, in order to have an optimal foundation to get the cleanest mix possible, every time.

These ones are a little more dynamic than the usual loops I make. What do you think, should I start making more loops like these, with tom fills and more variations?

I think that the best music ever was created during the 70's and 80's, so anything reminding that period of time is pure gold to me. What do you think? Does this loop remind a 70's drum groove?

When making a song, do you prefer starting from melody, chord progression(s) or maybe just drums? Whatever your preference, there is inspiration for anyone. Check this out!

It's always time for some funk drums, don't you think?
