Postindustrial Media

Postindustrial was conceived following the 2016 election, during which much of America was routinely mischaracterized and misunderstood in the news media.

Our coverage area includes but is not limited to Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, New York, Maryland, and North Carolina. We've also produced reporting from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Ukraine, the Balkans, and many other countries.

About Founder Carmen Gentile

Carmen Gentile has worked for The New York Times and CBS News, among others. His book, “Blindsided by the Taliban,” documents his life as a war reporter and the aftermath of his brush with death after being shot with a rocket-propelled grenade while embedded with U.S. Army forces in Afghanistan.

Trump supporters voted for this to happen
#trump #gaetz #politics #trumpcabinet #rfk

Trump's crazy cabinet picks are what his supporters voted for. The goofier, the better, it seems.

Putting bad parents behind bars could help

That recent school shooting ("which one?" I know you're asking) has resulted in a Georgia father facing murder and other charges because he let his school-shooting teen son have a gun.

Good. We hope they lock him under the prison for life.

And may his lifelong incarceration serve as a warning to other gun-obsessed parents polluting their children's minds with their gun fetishes: you're next if your kid shoots up a school.

Old-guard Dems pave way for Kamala and the next generation

The Democratic Party’s old guard passed the torch to the next generation on the first night of their convention in Chicago.

[Check out our latest YouTube short on this topic.]

Hillary Clinton gave a rousing speech that included thanks for Biden's decades of service and a prediction that Kamala Harris will finally break the glass ceiling that kept Clinton out of the White House in 2016.

Then, to thunderous applause, President Biden addressed the amped up crowd and took the fight directly to Trump, calling him a "loser" for bashing America under Biden's watch.

Democrats have been riding an unprecedented political wave since Biden dropped out and Kamala stepped up, a groundswell that has given them the clear momentum in this race.

But whether they can maintain that surge until Election Day remains to be seen. There's still plenty of time between now and November.

Two new national polls show Kamala Harris beating Trump for the first time.

Meanwhile, the electoral college map is also looking more favorable for the vice president.

[Check out our latest YouTube short on this topic.]

But let's not get too excited here.

For one: National polls are considered less reliable than state polls, which let’s face it, haven’t always been that accurate.

Remember the polls ahead of the 2016 election? (that still stings)

Also, there's still a long way to go until November, so who knows what the road ahead looks like for either candidate. Clearly, there's no way of projecting the future in politics anymore.

But the momentum has clearly shifted in Kamala’s favor while Trump has yet to devise a strategy for halting his slump.

Is JD stalking Harris Walz on the campaign trail?

JD Vance has been following the Harris-Walz ticket as they barnstorm across several swing states.

What JD’s doing is called bracketing and is common presidential politics.

But the way he goes about it and his messaging on the trail is somewhat odd and off-putting.

[Check out our latest YouTube short on Vance's stalking strategy.]

The Trump-Vance is still struggling to find a way to take on Harris and Walz as some polls indicate the vice president is pulling ahead of Trump.

So I guess until they do, JD’s just going to shadow his rivals hoping to find a campaign strategy that works.

Have a great day,

Tim Walz ELECTRIFIES audience as Kamala’s VP PICK

I’ll admit that at first I was a little disappointed by the choice of Tim Walz for Kamala’s VP.

But then I heard him speak:

Holy hell can this guy connect with an audience. Walz brought down the house in Philadelphia with inspiring stories about his days as a teacher and football coach and his passion for public service, while also condemning Trump’s record.

Walz possesses a midwestern charm and straightforwardness that will resonate with moderate Republicans looking for an alternative to the “weirdness” that is the Trump-Vance ticket.

Super smart choice by Harris, in my opinion.

What do you think?

The growing conflict between ISRAEL & IRAN affects us all
#Israel #Iran #MiddleEastConflict

The situation between Israel, Lebanon, and Iran could lead to a wider conflict in the Middle East. Here’s how it affects you and me.

Israel is preparing for a retaliatory attack after killing a Hezbollah commander in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Israel also recently killed a Hamas political leader in Tehran, Iran’s capital.

This comes after Israel accused Hezbollah of killing several Israeli children in a strike, which the armed group denies.

Hezbollah is backed by Iran, which has launched attacks at Israel in the past and is signaling it will do it again.

Were the conflict to widen, it would surely result in more deaths while also forcing the Biden administration to further react.

No doubt Trump would use a widening Middle East war to condemn Biden and Harris’ handling of the conflict in the lead up to the election.

Kamala Harris MAKES PLAY for Republican voters

With three months left in the race, Vice President Kamala Harris and Trump are now tied in the polls.

Harris has effectively erased the deficit Joe Biden was facing against Trump in both swing-state and national polls.

Now the vice president is trying to entice Republicans dissatisfied with Trump to vote for her.

Harris is hoping that enough “Never Trumpers” cross the aisle to bolster her support to give her an historic win in November.

Think she can pull it off?

Kamala is catching up to Trump thanks in part to Postindustrial America

Kamala Harris has been in the race for a week and a half and already is making major gains on Trump in the polls.

As Reuters reports:

Democratic U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has gained ground against Republican Donald Trump in six of the seven swing states since President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race, according to a Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll of registered voters.

In Michigan, Harris is up by as many as 11 points and by 2 in Wisconsin, both of which Biden won in 2020.
However, Trump won these states in 2016, as well as Pennsylvania, where he is currently 2 points ahead of Harris.

With 96 days left in this election, there's still plenty of time for either candidate to make up ground.

But for now, the momentum is clearly with Harris, who's made it a point to spend time and schedule events in PI cities like Detroit and Philadelphia, both of which are key in November's election.

A strong turnout for Harris in both cities would go a long way towards helping her win the White House.
