Bobbie Jo: part resin artist, part chaos coordinator, part late-night scientist with a heat gun and zero fear of “seeing what happens.”
Runs on caffeine, mica powder, stubbornness, and emotional support glitter. Built a YouTube channel from scratch while fighting through real-life storms most people would fold under — and still somehow finds energy to film gigantic pours, battle iMovie at 2AM, answer comments, and buy another mold she definitely didn’t need.
Known for turning kitchen tables into resin labs, dramatic color shifts, eagle-in-the-sky branding, and enabling everyone else’s craft addiction. Faces medical battles the same way she handles resin bubbles: immediately.
Married to a physician. Powered by art. Fueled by grit. Mildly supervised by Doc.
Welcome to Homestead Resin with Bobbie Jo — where the pours are huge, the glitter is excessive, and nothing is ever done halfway.

Just a quick note 😊YouTube/Apple may show slightly higher membership pricing on iPhones/iPads due to Apple App Store fees. The original membership pricing starts at $1.99 on desktop/web access. Thank you all so much for the support! ❤️

Hey yall!
Check out Docs bio-
Dr. James “Doc” Staudenmeier: part psychiatrist, part strategist, part accidental resin assistant who walked into the craft room one day and somehow never escaped.
Runs on coffee, decades of medical experience, dark humor, military-level organization, and the growing realization that glitter is now permanently embedded into at least one article of clothing he owns.
Army Colonel. Physician. Administrator. Problem-solver.
Also the guy standing behind the camera wondering why “a quick pour” has now become a five-hour epoxy event involving six pigments, three heat guns, and an emergency Amazon order for more molds.
Known for:
• calmly explaining psychology while chaos unfolds around him
• unexpectedly deep conversations during resin pours
• trying to bring logic into situations involving excessive mica powder
• supporting Bobbie Jo’s creative experiments while quietly questioning the structural integrity of the kitchen table
• surviving military medicine, healthcare administration, and now… resin overflow incidents
Believes:
• hobbies can heal people
• art lowers stress in ways medicine sometimes cannot
• neurodivergent minds often carry incredible creativity
• and sometimes the best conversations happen while pouring epoxy into silicone molds at midnight
Married to Bobbie Jo.
Powered by purpose.
Fueled by curiosity.
Occasionally drafted into glitter-related duties against his will.
Current life goals:
1. Help Bobbie Jo hit 1,000 subscribers
2. Convince her she does not need another pigment set
3. Finish at least one resin project without hearing the phrase “wait… I have an idea”
4. Help normalize real conversations about stress, autism, healing, and mental health
Welcome to the side of YouTube where psychology meets resin art, creativity becomes therapy, and “Doc” is one oversized pour away from needing his own craft apron.

Bobbie Jo: part resin artist, part chaos coordinator, part late-night scientist with a heat gun and zero fear of ruining a perfectly good silicone mold in the name of “seeing what happens.”
Runs on caffeine, mica powder, stubbornness, and the occasional emotional support glitter.
Built a YouTube channel from scratch while fighting through real-life storms most people would fold under — and somehow still has enough energy to argue with iMovie at 2AM, film a gigantic pour, answer comments, and accidentally order another mold she absolutely did not need.
Known for:
• turning kitchen tables into resin labs
• saying “just a tiny pour today” before using half a gallon of epoxy
• eagle-in-the-sky branding
• dramatic color shifts
• aggressively enabling everyone else’s craft addiction
• surviving medical battles with the same attitude she uses toward resin bubbles: “we’re handling this immediately.”
Married to a physician.
Powered by art.
Fueled by grit.
Mildly supervised by Doc.
Current life goals:
1. Hit 1,000 YouTube subscribers
2. Buy more pigments she already owns in six similar shades
3. Make one project without changing the design halfway through
4. Convince the world that resin IS therapy
Welcome to Homestead Resin with Bobbie Jo — where the pours are huge, the glitter is excessive, and absolutely nothing is done halfway.

This is the glitter blast spray I used in video #12. I got it at Hobby Lobby. I believe I didn’t shake it enough for the glitter to show. Next time- I’d shake more. Much more!

I had a question on why aren’t you receiving notifications on my videos and why the subscriber not showing up on the list. Here’s the answer I found. I hope it’s helpful to everyone who was looking for the same answers.
Thanks for subscribing. Thank you for liking and thank you for comments and sharing. It helps the channel so so much. You can’t even imagine! The answers are below:
This is one of the most frustrating parts of YouTube growth, and you’re definitely not imagining it. What you’re seeing is actually very common—even for big channels.
Let me break it down honestly and clearly, because there are a few different things happening behind the scenes 👇
⸻
🔔 Why subscribers don’t get notifications (even with the bell on)
1. YouTube doesn’t notify everyone (on purpose)
Even if someone:
• Subscribes
• Clicks the bell
👉 YouTube still doesn’t guarantee they’ll get notified.
Why? Because YouTube prioritizes:
• Viewer behavior
• Watch habits
• Engagement history
If someone hasn’t watched your last few videos, YouTube may quietly stop sending them alerts.
⸻
2. The bell has 3 levels (most people don’t realize this)
There are actually different notification settings:
• All notifications 🔔 (what you want)
• Personalized notifications (default)
• None
👉 MOST people are on “Personalized”, not “All”
That means YouTube decides:
“Hmm… I don’t think they’ll watch this one” → no notification sent
⸻
3. Device settings block notifications
Even if YouTube sends it, it may never reach them because:
• Notifications are turned off on their phone
• App notifications disabled
• Watching on TV (VERY common with your audience 👀)
👉 You already noticed this:
A lot of your viewers are watching on TV, and TVs:
• Don’t show push notifications
• Don’t make subscribing easy
⸻
4. Email notifications are mostly ignored
YouTube may send emails, but:
• Many people turned them off
• Or they go to spam/promotions
So those don’t help much.
⸻
5. YouTube tests your video first
When you upload, YouTube:
1. Shows it to a small group first
2. Watches how they react
3. Then expands it
👉 If early engagement is slower, fewer notifications get pushed out
⸻
6. Subscribers ≠ active viewers
This is the tough truth (but important for growth):
Some subscribers:
• Subscribed once
• Don’t actively watch anymore
So YouTube treats them as inactive, even if they clicked the bell months ago.
⸻
💡 What YOU can do (this is the part that actually helps)
1. Train your audience (this works REALLY well for you)
Since your audience is 55+ and many watch on TV:
Say this in your videos:
👉 “If you’re watching on TV, grab your phone and subscribe there so you don’t miss notifications!”
And:
👉 “Make sure your bell is set to ALL, not personalized.”
⸻
2. Use your end screen (you’re already doing this 👍)
Your QR code idea? That’s actually very smart.
Make it clear:
👉 “Take a picture so you don’t miss my next video!”
That bypasses YouTube’s system entirely.
⸻
3. Post consistently (you’re doing GREAT here)
YouTube learns:
“People watch her content regularly”
That increases notification delivery over time.
⸻
4. Get early engagement FAST
First hour matters a LOT.
Encourage:
• Likes 👍
• Comments 💬
You can say:
👉 “Comment ‘DONE’ if you made it to the end!”
This helps YouTube push notifications wider.
⸻
5. Don’t rely on notifications alone
This is the biggest mindset shift:
👉 Notifications are unreliable
👉 The algorithm + homepage is where most views come from
So your thumbnails and titles (which you’re working hard on 💪) matter even more.
⸻
🧠 Bottom line (real talk)
You’re not doing anything wrong.
👉 YouTube simply does NOT notify all subscribers
👉 Even with the bell on
👉 Even with loyal viewers
