Aa'isha رضي الله عنها reported that she asked:

"O' Messenger of Allāh ﷺ! What if I knew which night Laylatul-Qadr was, then what should I say in it?"

He ﷺ said:

"Say:

"اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي"

Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee'”

[‘O Allāh, You are the Most Forgiving and You love to Forgive, so forgive me.]

Every year, the Palestinian people face the same issue.

Yet the real issue seems to go unnoticed.

We have people of words, going out protesting, shouting, free mixing, accomplishing nothing.

Muslim countries showing solidarity, with no tangible action.

Know that Palestine will NEVER be free unless we unite as one muslim ummah.

Until then any gesture towards Palestine is for naught.

Islamic Futuwwa

There is a person who possesses a combative demeanor.

He easily becomes angered and has the tendency to speak excessively.

Everytime people inquire about his character, he attributes it to his mother, who treated him badly during his childhood.

Saying: "I used to be shy and quiet as a child, but due to my mother's actions, I have become the person I am today."

A perfect example of how nurture can shape you.

Or isn't it?

The debate of nurture vs nature has been going on for decades and scientists have come to the conclusion that both play an equal role in shaping one’s character.

This matter is a different story for muslims.

For we possess faith which transcends the bounds of nature and nurture and nullifies both through the process of reading Quran, doing dhikr and sending salawat upon the prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

It is through implementing these practices and continuously struggling to implement the characteristics of our prophet ﷺ that one can alter their very being.

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If you ˹sincerely˺ love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” – Quran [3:31]

Ramadan presents the ultimate opportunity for muslims to achieve this transformation, with the goal of attaining closeness to Allah.

The choice, however, is and always will be yours.

The question is, how badly do you want to change?

Think back to Ramadan 2022 and ask yourself what did I accomplish in the span of 1 year?

12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8 766 hours, how did you use them?

How did you serve the ummah?

Did you leave a positive impact or did you waste your days away?

“The Hour will not begin until knowledge is taken away, earthquakes increase, time passes quickly, tribulations appear, and there is a lot of haraj, which is killing, killing, and until there will be a lot of wealth among you and it will become abundant.”

- The prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)

Every year the passage of time increases.

It is not only us feeling it, everyone feels it.

With approximately 30 days before Ramadan the time to prepare has long disappeared.

However it's never too late.

As a competitive man there is nothing that I hate more than losing.

I despise it.

And if you look at our state today we, as an ummah, are losing the overall battle.

1.8 billion yet we wouldn't even be able to move a mountain if it was standing in our way.

But there is hope...

In every (young) man lies the potential to change the world.

To rise up as leaders, reclaim our place and change the condition of this ummah.
