📸 Walk With Us Through Photos — Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal — June 15, 2026

On June 15, 2026, we arrived in Kathmandu—the capital of Nepal and one of the most spiritually rich and culturally vibrant cities in the world.

From the moment we set foot in this sacred city, we were embraced by the warmth of its people, the depth of its spiritual heritage, and the quiet, timeless energy that fills every corner of this ancient land.

Throughout the day, our venerable monks walked through Kathmandu, visiting different temples and offering peace sharing talks to the communities gathered there. Each step carried the same intention that has guided this entire journey—to share the message of peace, mindfulness, loving-kindness, and compassion with every heart we meet along the way.

We hope these photos can bring everyone closer to this beautiful experience—as if walking alongside us through the streets and temples of Kathmandu, breathing in the same air, and feeling the same quiet peace that this extraordinary city so naturally offers.

May everyone who views these photos be touched by the spirit of peace that fills each moment of this journey. We walk together—whether in person or in spirit—always on this path of peace.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

📌 Walk for Peace Welcomed at the Office of the President of Nepal

We are deeply honored and moved to share that on June 15, 2026, we arrived in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal—and were granted the profound honor of a visit and meeting with His Excellency President Ram Chandra Paudel and his wife, First Lady Sabita Poudel at the Office of the President of Nepal, Sheetal Niwas, Kathmandu.

The meeting centered around the message and mission of peace—a meaningful and heartfelt conversation about the Walk for Peace journey and the shared vision of cultivating a more peaceful, compassionate, and harmonious world.

We are profoundly grateful for the warm welcome, the gracious hospitality, and the precious time extended to us by His Excellency President Ram Chandra Paudel and his wife, First Lady Sabita Poudel. Their openness, kindness, and genuine interest in the mission of peace touched our hearts deeply.

To be received with such warmth and goodwill here in Nepal—the sacred land that is home to Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha over 2,500 years ago—is a moment we will carry in our hearts for a very long time.

May this meeting plant seeds of peace that continue to grow and flourish in Nepal and throughout the world. May the spirit of this conversation inspire all of us to walk forward together—with peace, compassion, and loving-kindness in our hearts.

📌 Kushinagar, India: A Place of Peace and Emotion — June 14, 2026

Our hearts are filled with profound gratitude and reverence as we share that the Walk for Peace has arrived in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India—one of the most sacred and deeply moving destinations of our entire journey.

Alongside Lumbini (the birth of the Buddha), Bodhgaya (the enlightenment), and Sarnath (the first sermon), Kushinagar stands as one of the four most revered sites in the Buddhist world. It is here, over 2,600 years ago, at around the age of 80, that the Buddha peacefully passed away and attained his final Parinirvana. Standing on this sacred ground is a deeply emotional experience, wrapping us in a timeless stillness that words can hardly capture.

During our time here, the venerable monks and lay devotees were deeply moved to pay their respects at two of Kushinagar's most historic sites:

- Parinirvana Stupa — The sacred place where the Buddha passed away, marked by a magnificent white dome enshrining a serene, ancient statue of the Reclining Buddha. In an act of deep devotion, we came together to carefully drape a large golden cloth—symbolizing a monk's robe—over the statue, offering our most heartfelt homage.

- Ramabhar Stupa — The ancient site where the body of the Buddha was cremated, marked by a beautiful structure of dark red brick that has stood for centuries. Here, we offered lotus flowers in quiet contemplation—a gentle tribute at the very place where his earthly journey came to its peaceful end.

Being present at these sacred sites brought a profound stillness to our minds and hearts. We found ourselves reflecting deeply on the Blessed One—a courageous human being who walked this very earth with boundless compassion and wisdom, dedicating his entire life to guiding all beings away from suffering.

His life and his timeless teachings are the very inspiration for the Walk for Peace. This sacred ground reminds us that the path of peace is not just a walk across physical miles, but a gentle journey toward the peace that already lives within each of our own hearts.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

📌 Update: Walk for Peace Arrives in Kushinagar — June 14, 2026

Our hearts are filled with joy as we share that Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra, our beloved companion Aloka, the venerable monks, and lay devotees of the Walk for Peace are arriving in the sacred land of Kushinagar—one of the most revered and deeply significant places in the Buddhist world.

📌 Event Details
- Date: Sunday, June 14, 2026
- Time: 7:00 AM
- Location: Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India
- Hosted By: Kushinagar Bhikkhu Sangha

Kushinagar is the sacred ground where the Buddha passed away — peacefully breathing his last breath and passing into complete liberation (Parinibbāna). To walk and stand in this place is to be touched by something timeless, gently reminding us of the impermanence of all things and the eternal beauty of the path of peace.

May these footsteps on this sacred ground touch the peace already within each of us—and may they shine it outward, reminding us that we were never truly away from it. ✨

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏

📸 A Touching Sense of Peace at Dungeshwari Cave, India

On June 12, 2026, we visited Dungeshwari Cave—one of India's most sacred and deeply moving sites, where the Buddha practiced intense asceticism for six years before discovering the Middle Way that led to his supreme enlightenment.

Standing in this ancient place, we cannot help but feel the profound weight of history and spiritual significance that permeates every stone and shadow. This is where a determined human being sat in unwavering resolve, enduring immense physical hardship in his relentless search for the truth to end suffering.

When the Buddha realized that extreme asceticism could not bring true awakening, he made a courageous and wise decision—to choose the Middle Way, the path that later resulted in his enlightenment.

Visiting Dungeshwari Cave quietly reminds us of something deeply relevant to our own lives today. We all face challenges, difficulties, and moments of doubt on our own paths. There are times when the road feels too long, too hard, or too uncertain. Yet the Buddha's example reminds us that as long as we do not give up—as long as we continue to walk with mindfulness, patience, and steadfast determination—the light of inner peace will find its way through.

The path of peace is not always easy, but it is always worth walking. May this sacred visit inspire us all to stay committed to the path of peace and mindfulness, whatever circumstances we face.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏

🌺 A Sacred Brotherhood: The Foundation of the Walk for Peace

Behind every great journey of peace lies a foundation of unwavering support, trust, and deeply rooted friendship.

During the Peace Sharing Talk on June 6, 2026, at Wat Nakprok in Bangkok, Thailand—the very temple that has been the foundation for pilgrimages in India and Nepal, just like the one Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra joined between 2022–2023—Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra shared a deeply moving tribute to Venerable Phra Ajahn Prawat Pavatto, whose guidance and companionship became a vital stepping stone for the Walk for Peace in America.

Long before the Walk for Peace spanned thousands of miles across the United States, Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra walked alongside Venerable Phra Ajahn Prawat Pavatto during their grueling 110-day pilgrimage through India in 2022–2023. Through illness, exhaustion, and every hardship the road brought, they cared for one another like older and younger brothers.

Even while Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra was leading the Walk for Peace in America, they would FaceTime each other across the globe—communicating through shared smiles, laughter, and a silent understanding that needed no translation.

Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra shared with deep gratitude that without the lessons and trust given to him during that pivotal walk in India, the Walk for Peace might never have begun. And though both are respected leaders today, he beautifully reminded everyone: "In my heart, he is my leader. I am still his younger brother on this path of peace."

We are profoundly grateful to Venerable Phra Ajahn Prawat Pavatto for his kindness, care, and selfless dedication—a guiding light that continues to illuminate the path of peace for all who walk it.

May he be blessed with excellent health, peace, and happiness. May his light continue to shine brightly for generations to come.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨
