Over the weekend, my mom asked me, “Why are you always so tired?”

My answer was simple:

“I’d rather be tired by being busy, and doing what I must to be productive and successful, rather than have a lot of wasted energy doing nothing!”

She told me that response was mature, profound, and almost haiku-like.

The truth is, I’m balancing work, being a husband, being a father, raising my son, running my business, and staying committed to my physical and mental health through boxing and training.

And honestly? I’m grateful for every bit of it!

I love my wife, Maggie. She is my other half, and without her, there is no “us.” ☺️♥️ I love being JAC’s dad, and every memory we make together is priceless! I work hard every day to provide, build my business, create content that helps others, and stay healthy enough to keep up with the people I love most!

So yes, I’m tired.

But it’s the kind of tired that comes from living a life filled with purpose, love, responsibility, growth, and gratitude! Every sacrifice has been worth it, and every step forward reminds me that the journey is only getting better.

As it’s Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, I also want to say this:

Men don’t always get credit for the things they’re expected to do, but that doesn’t mean those efforts don’t matter! Balancing life, family, work, health, and responsibilities takes strength. Give yourself credit where it’s due!

To every man reading this:

You are not alone. You are heard. You are loved.

Keep going. Take care of your mental health—not just this month, but every single day.

A huge thank you to my amazing wife, Maggie Capshaw, for surprising me with this incredible Til Valhalla Project @til_valhalla_project shirt! As someone passionate about mental health and encouraging others to speak openly about their struggles, this gift means a lot to me!

It also reminds me of my father, John Anthony Rea, a Green Beret and Vietnam veteran. Despite his battle with Agent Orange-related dementia, the lessons he taught me—integrity, kindness, respect, courage, protecting those you love, and honoring women—continue to guide me every day.

This was a battle I had to face as well. Unless you truly knew me or I spoke about it, you likely had no idea what I was carrying. Any emotions or attitude I showed were often a reflection of that struggle and should be met with understanding, not judgment. I’m incredibly grateful for the support system that helped me through it.

I’m grateful to my brother, Kevin Rea @_kevrea, for a lifetime of memories and true brotherly love, as well as my therapist, Connie Jones, my family, friends, and martial arts instructors who helped shape my mental health, personal growth, and character!

That’s one reason I proudly support Til Valhalla Project and their mission to honor fallen heroes, support veterans, and raise awareness for mental health through their merchandise.

My father’s legacy lives on through my son, JAC, who I proudly named after him. I carry his values forward every day, and I know he would have been an incredible grandfather. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Their mission is to preserve the legacies of our fallen heroes by surprise-delivering memorial plaques to their families, funded through apparel sales. Their dedication to veterans, mental health, and spreading a positive message is something I deeply respect and proudly support!

You never truly know what someone is carrying behind the scenes.

Be kind. Be understanding. Give grace. And always lead with love. ❤️

I know that I’m way late on posting this but life can get in the way!

When I look at my life and have reflections on who I truly appreciate, I can without a doubt say that I am truly grateful for my Mom, Joyce Capshaw and my Wife, Maggie Capshaw!

I want to thank my Mom for taking me in and showing me what true love is that only a Mother could have given, I want to thank her for raising me on how to be a good person, how to be a go getter, and how to lead with my heart to take on life! I am forever grateful for you being my Mother!

Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family to make sure we have the best life possible that we can give to JAC!

I want to also most definitely thank my amazing Wife, Maggie! Thank you for showing me what true love is and what it means to have a real partner in life who really is there for you through sickness and health! I appreciate you for being so hard working, I appreciate how you take care of me, I really appreciate how you take care of our boy, JAC and I appreciate how much you do for our family!

Our family structure that you and I have built together would not be possible if I didn’t have you in my life, and trust me, this post doesn’t even come close to the words that I could say about how much I love you and how much you mean to me!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing Mom’s out there!

I can’t wait to see what adventures we will have in the future together all together!

I just wanted to wish everyone and their families an amazing Easter Day! ♥️

I hope that everyone’s day is filled with love, laughter, and happiness and peace! When it comes to family, no matter if it’s on my Mom’s side, or, my Wife’s side, I am a very blessed person to be around those who truly care and love one another, and are always there for each other! That’s what family is all about!

Loving one another, being there for each other, loving each other unconditionally no matter the circumstances, and leaving a loving and lasting positive impression on those that you care about!

I want to thank everyone who came over to our house for Easter lunch after Easter Mass, ⛪️ and I want to thank my Mom for hosting Easter dinner! 🍽️

This isn’t directed at anyone in particular, nor does it come from anger. It’s simply a reflection on something we all face—conflict. At times, words are said with the intent to provoke, to pull a reaction out of you. But not every response needs to be given.

When you truly understand someone—their actions, their intentions, and the weight of their own struggles—you realize that reacting only gives power to something that doesn’t deserve it. Sometimes the strongest position is choosing peace, even when you could say more.

If you don’t give them the reaction they seek, they hold no power. The only person who has the power to make you act in the right way is God! And you can only pray and hope for the person who is giving you trouble finds the strength to admit they are wrong, ask God for forgiveness, and be guided down a righteous path.

Not every situation needs resolution in the moment. Sometimes distance, silence, or even walking away is what preserves peace. And if understanding never comes, then the answer reveals itself in time.

Stay grounded. Stay faithful. Let your character speak louder than any accusation.

Self-respect isn’t given — it’s earned! And you earn it by pushing past the negative perceptions you have about yourself!

Growth happens when you step into what’s hard and outside your comfort zone. For me, that’s boxing! 🥊 It’s hard on the body — but I reap the rewards in the shape I’m in and the discipline it builds!

It’s also sparring. Just like I shared in my recent advice video, I was scared! But once I stepped in, trusted what I’ve been taught, stayed confident in my technique and movement, and accepted that I’m going to get hit no matter how good my defense is — it wasn’t so scary after all. Especially because my coach, Chris Irving, hits with the power of technique, not ego! We respect each other. 🤝We’re not there to hurt one another — we’re there to learn and get better! And that carries into everything else in life, no matter how hard things get!

Do hard things. Face what scares you. Earn your own self-respect. 🥊
