I hope you’re all well?

Thought I’d check in. You may have seen my last post where I mentioned I was struggling with burn out / mental health (if not then that’s where I’ve been)
I’m still very much dealing with all of that it’s been a bit of a bumpy road but the bumps aren’t as violent now however I am now on ✨Medication✨ (again, I used to be but stopped a while back - silly mistake) and the side effects haven’t been too pleasant but hopefully that will settle soon.

I’ve decided it’s probably best for me to return to posting content in the new year as I don’t want to come back too quickly then tumble back down again. I’ll also probably start off with one video a week instead of two for a little bit just to ease in.

Thank you so much for all your kind comments and support I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.

Hope you’re all well.

Sadly I’m not doing so well. Over the past couple months I’ve been fighting burn out / my mental health and it’s finally all piled up and it’s become all so very overwhelming.

I’ve decided to pause all content for a couple weeks just so I can actually take a break in hopes it helps.

I normally have no issue taking a week or two off when I have a cold or any other “normal illness” but taking a pause for mental health always seems so silly to me while completely understanding when other people need to do the same so I need to give myself the same grace and try and be kinder to myself I guess I don’t know.
I just feel incredibly guilty.

I’m so sorry.

I hope you’re all doing very well 🫶🏻

As you may know from some of my content over the years I like to make people alert for the problematic areas of the tattoo industry the main one being predators in the tattoo industry and how it’s very unregulated.
I do this so you are aware of what can happen at your tattoo appointments and just so you can look out for red flags and what is and isn’t normal behaviour from tattoo artists.

Did you know to be a tattoo artist across MANY places in the world there’s no background checks and anyone can be a tattoo artist regardless of their history. That makes space for predators who have a history of violence and sexual assault being allowed to have access to your body when you’re in a vulnerable position. Medical professionals here in the UK must have DBS checks (background checks) to be able to see patients / clients so how is being a tattoo artist any different?

Myself and a few others (including other tattoo enthusiasts & tattoo artists) are advocating for these checks to be required for tattoo artists to make the tattoo industry safer for the UK (these checks are already implemented in wales 🥳)

We now have a petition that will hopefully get enough signatures so the government can take our concerns seriously.

If you have a spare moment to sign the petition we have it would mean a lot and to also follow the Instagram we have so you can keep updated on what is happening.

For those who are concerned with what we’re doing we promise we don’t care about petty crime just those of which have seriously harmed people.
Making the tattoo industry a bit safer will be no concern to you if you’re a good egg.

I hope you’re all well. I just read a very helpful comment on my latest YouTube video that I’d love to take on board moving forward - I always appreciate your helpful feedback as it helps me do better with upcoming content especially on more serious topics.

The suggestion was to put out a community post anytime I make a video on a predatory tattoo artist with a brief description for those who don’t want to watch videos on the subject matter because it may be triggering / too dark / or just something you’re not interested in which I whole heartedly understand.

However my mission with these videos are to keep you safe from these monsters so moving forward I will write a community note with brief details for you to read incase you’re close to the predatory tattoo artist and or tattoo studio or had plans visiting them. This way you can avoid said tattoo artist / business.

Nick Wolak body piercer and owner of Evolved Body Art in Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A has been accused by co-workers of partaking in inappropriate behaviour such as sexualised jokes, supporting rapists, withholding wages, employing and defending abusive people and being abusive himself.
Along side that he allowed a member of his staff Nader Shah to have a secret camera in his tattoo station whom also has a reputation of tattooing minors.

Many members of staff have spoken up about how toxic Nick is alongside clients who have witnessed odd or terrible behaviour from Nick and some of the staff from Evolved Body Art.

As there are many members of staff at Evolved Body Art due to there being three studios it’s hard to say who is complicit with Nicks behaviour and who isn’t and they themselves are victims of Nick. However 15+ members of staff have chosen to leave Evolved Body Art because of everything that has come to light.

Nick himself has posted a few “apologies” on his Facebook where he try’s to offer solutions but there is no real accountability and he is still up to no good by not standing by what he wants to do with his “solutions”

I have been in contact with a tattoo artist by the name of Beltane (‪@beltanebeetattoo‬ / IG: www.instagram.com/beltanebeetattoo ) who is trying to make awareness about a pretty well known tattoo artist who has … yeah you guessed it been up to no good.
As you know this is something that I try to make awareness for and I’d love to boost a YouTube video that Beltane has made about this artist that includes all the info / proof you need. It would be wonderful if you could show her some support.
Beltane herself is a tattoo artist so I know it couldn’t have been easy to do this as going up against well known tattoo artists like the one she’s talking about in her video could incite some backlash on her from the artist or friends of.
So let’s rally around her!! 🫶🏻

Hello my darlings!!

I hope you’re all well?

As you may know I had a medical procedure / surgery… whichever you’d like to call it under General anaesthesia nearly 3 weeks ago for my RCPD. (I basically had 150 units of Botox injected into a throat muscle that doesn’t know how to work and it doesn’t allow me to burp which = ton of awful symptoms)

The results have been AMAZING (I’m burping way more than I have ever before post other Botox doses) and I hardly have any RCPD symptoms!! The side effects though….oh boy they’re not so fun this time either.

My slow swallow is lasting way longer than normal (basically sometimes takes food a while to go down / gets stuck in my throat, nothing a chase of drink can’t fix)
I’ve not slept in my bed for this whole time as anytime I attempt to lay down and sleep, within 30 mins of being asleep I wake up choking on air bubbles that get stuck in my throat so I’ve been sleeping on my sofa which luckily reclines and that helps a lot.
This also happens when I speak sometimes and if I speak for a longish periods of time (so paragraphs instead of sentences I guess?) my voice gets incredibly tired…. Which uh… isn’t ideal for making content.

I had pre-filmed some videos before the procedure (which is what have been posted the past couple weeks) in hopes it would tie me over for the first couple weeks where the side effects are at the worst normally but I have now run out of content and not been able to film more.

I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things next week or at least attempt it to get the ball rolling. I just thought I’d update you all!!

R:E My newest video!! (tattoo regret reaction)

I have been reading your comments about the sponsor in this video (Scentbird) to which has warned me about the C.E.O and her very problematic views on a few things. I'm still not 100% up to speed on it all as I am just learning about this all now but what I have come across is most certainly isn't what I stand for or believe in and all I can do is profusely apologise on my end for not looking deeper into a brand / sponsor that I have accepted.
If you have any questions please do feel free to ask or any comments etc.

I truly do appreciate you all making me aware of this situation and while it's not your responsibility by any means it does help me moving forward when I do miss the mark on something.
