Skulgard is a dark Nordic folk project created by Eira & Vane.
With Eira as the main voice and emotional force of the project, and Vane shaping the production, cinematic atmosphere, and occasional vocal passages, Skulgard blends harsh folk chanting, sea-shanty rhythms, and industrial Nordic soundscapes into ritual-driven songs of grief, survival, obsession, and the sea.
Inspired by the cold vastness of the North Sea, forgotten harbors, long winters, and ancient communal songs, Skulgard creates music that feels both timeless and strangely modern.
Combining raw human performance with modern digital and AI-assisted creation, the project explores a darker form of folk music, intimate, physical, hypnotic, and cinematic.
For listeners of dark folk, ritual music, Nordic atmospheres, and haunted sea shanties.
