Join me on a historic journey as we say farewell to the JetBlue Embraer 190 on its retirement flight. A true end of an era for JetBlue’s fleet, and I had the chance to be onboard for this memorable trip. The E190 joined JetBlue in 2005, opening the door to smaller markets and giving customers the comfort of a mainline experience on a "regional jet". For nearly two decades, it connected countless passengers and became a key part of JetBlue’s story. Now, its chapter comes to a close.
From takeoff to landing, I captured the moments that made this final flight so special. 💙

the OLD meets the NEW
Introduced in 2000 when jetBlue launched, this cabin became a disruptor on every market it flew to. With the most legroom in coach and free DirecTV, it helped jetBlue make a name. Now, with just around 10ish aircraft’s left with this cabin, getting to fly in it is a privilege.

Some airlines offer a menu of fresh food for purchase on board. This time at Delta, I decided to go with their Cheese Plate from the Fresh Flight Fuel that’s only available on select flights. Plus, this flight was operated with one of the few 757s out there that still have the old IFE screens in economy, giving us a blast from the past from the early days of the post-merger Delta.
