Been a wild week. Wanted to fill you guys in on a few details we've learned from the Tavern (some sad but some good!)

1) Kai Schober, German Community Manager and yearly organizer of the ESO Tavern, has also been given notice of being laid off. Technically, it seems he has employment through December but likely going to be a scenario where he is just collecting a pay check through that point and no longer involved. SUPER sad news here. I had the pleasure of meeting him twice. He was a really nice guy and the backbone of the amazing ESO Tavern event each year. I think most are assuming that this will be the final "official" Tavern, but there's no way to know for sure.

2) For a little better news, Jason and Jessica were reported as telling folks at the Tavern that the ESO team is now around the same size as they were in the Wrothgar to Summerset era. We don't know the exact numbers, but there seems to be a lot more remaining than many were assuming (given the 213 laid off reported.) That size of a team back then was able to make lots of content for the game! I think this is one of the most positive bits I've seen come out this week. However, it will undoubtedly come with a lot of setbacks to the original roadmap that we were given. Speaking of the roadmap...

3) Nick and Susan were originally supposed to be at the Tavern, but did not make the trip due to everything that went down this week. They had a live call with the attendees where it was said Nick was on the verge of tears and very somber that he couldn't make the trip to spend time with the community but also assured them that they are hard at work updating the roadmap and pathing a way forward.

I'm feeling sad today but also optimistic that the game will continue on for now. I hope one day we'll be able to return to a place where the game is prospering and community events can return. Some of my best memories of the last decade are those events.

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet here. Subathon ended on Twitch and I’m taking a little vacation before things ramp up with Update 50 in June. I plan on having a build for each pure class on the website, hopefully by the time u50 launches. Thanks for everything and see yall soon!

Not a ton of quality of life stuff for Update 50 compared to U49 but a few welcome additions. There’s a ton of good stuff coming for U50 though and it hits the PTS on April 13th! Really looking forward to the class masteries. Will be testing and breaking all those down for yall for sure! 😎

How’s everyone been enjoying subclassing? I’ve been loving it! 👍

In case you aren’t aware, I’ve been doing a subathon over on Twitch and we’ve made it to day 12! I’ve spent a ton of time on stream testing different combos and I can’t wait to get them posted for you guys. That’s why I’ve been a little quiet on the uploads here.

That said, I am taking the weekend off from streaming to rest a bit and to get some more builds uploaded to the website. Then back to the subathon on Monday morning!

Quick update:

Working on a summary/feedback vid for the patch notes. It’s about 27 min long. Audio is recorded but I still need to put the video together. Gotta go back to the day job the next 3 days but I’ll try and squeeze in working on it when possible.
