The Walt Disney Studios courtyard is now open — here are some things I noticed from around this new land.
Characters abound in this ode to Walt Disney Animation, from the statues of fan favorites like Pua and Thumper and Zack, to hand/paw prints of favorite characters (kind of like the front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater), to old and new movie posters, and actual characters freely roaming the land.
And of course, there’s just something special about seeing Sorcerer Mickey’s Hat inspired by the Roy E. Disney Animation building. While The Magic of Disney Animation attraction and the Alice in Wonderland playground have yet to open, the new courtyard breathes fresh life into a space previously dormant. So many families, like ours, were hanging out and having so much fun! NEW VID WITH A TOUR IS UP!
