Matthew 13:48 is not just a fishing scene. It is a serious picture from Jesus Christ about the end of the world, final separation, and the difference between the good and the bad.
“Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.”
This verse is part of Christ’s parable of the net. The net gathers. The shore ends the process. The good are gathered. The bad are cast away.
