Something big is coming.

Twelve years ago, I released my first app on the Google Play Store with one goal: to help my students practice better and learn more effectively when I’m not around.

Now, after 27 years of teaching, 10 years on YouTube, and thousands of conversations, comments, lessons, and observations later, I’m getting ready to release the biggest evolution of my teaching I’ve ever made:

Cello Tone Lab

In about two weeks, I’ll be releasing a new AI-powered app built around the thing I hear cello players want most: to play with better tone!

I’ve listened closely to what adult learners struggle with.
I’ve listened to what my students need.
I’ve listened to what so many of you have asked for here on YouTube.

And this is exactly why I am designing Cello Tone Lab.

This app is deeply personal to me. It brings together everything I’ve learned from nearly three decades of teaching, plus everything I’ve learned from building this channel and growing with all of you!

This is not just another project. It’s the most important evolution of my teaching, ever.

Over the next days and weeks, I’ll be sharing more videos from the system, more behind-the-scenes development, and more of the ideas that shaped the app.

This is a system I’ve built and refined over more than a decade to help string players understand position work faster and more clearly through colour, pattern recognition, and logical fingerboard mapping.
