Maintaining an urban garden and pond is both relaxing and exhilarating! I love seeing all of the local wildlife come to enjoy my pond and gardens. It is worth it to build these refuges for our neighboring insects, birds, and animals. Enjoy some of my relaxing daily moments in the backyard. I love watching the birds explore the pond, waterfalls and nearby food forest in my backyard and from my travels.
Always look for beauty in nature everywhere you go. Whether a butterfly on an open flower, a hummingbird enjoying sweet nectar from a trumpet vine, or a slug on the forest floor, take the time to revel in the moment of amazement.

Hello everybody!!
A new year is here, and it is time for me to be back in the gardens.
New projects are coming, a catio so my spoiled kitties can hang out and watch the pond, new iris and bulb bed to update and plant, and finally attack the side yard that I call "The Secret Garden". Currently, the Secret Garden is filled with 2 foot tall weeds.

I am SO excited!!! My urban pond and garden meet ALL of the criteria to be certified as a wildlife habitat! The goal I set over 5 years ago has been obtained! Now, I just need to heal my shoulder so I can clean up and work on outstanding projects.
