New profile pic, who dis?*
This is my 10th year on Youtube, so I figured it was time for a new coat of paint with a little bit of island flair. I'll be publishing my trilogy on Hawaiian history in 2026, so look forward to that!
I want to thank you all for your continued support over the years. You put a lot of trust in me to produce content despite these long pauses, and I take that very seriously. Not only have I put more time and research into this trilogy than I have any other project, I've also had a lot of life happen since the SDA video.
While working on that video, I got married, Atlas and Peabody both died within a week of each other from various cancers, we bought a house, and moved. Since that video came out, I had the basement remodeled into a studio, had back surgery (I got a bulging disc from sitting in a lawn chair reading too much!), went on our honeymoon, got two new ferrets - Anya and Freya, and we're now expecting a child. It's like a did a Sims speedrun or something.
Even with all of that, I am committed to this channel. I love what I do and can't really imagine myself doing anything else. I'll be planning some sort of livestream for the actual anniversary in June, so look forward to that.

Knowing Better
It is finished. After 734 hours and 28 minutes of research and writing, I finally have drafts of all three scripts complete!
Script 1 (Precontact to 1843) - 28,107 words
Script 2 (1839 to 1887) - 24,768 words
Script 3 (1887 to present) - 30,026 words
Total - 82,901 words
At my normal speaking cadence, that's 8 hours of content across 3 videos. Filming will begin soon!
