Music is one of the most important and powerful things in my life. My life without melodies and harmonies would be totally empty. Listening to and playing different tunes helps me to de-stress, relax and it can also help to motivate me in trying times. I love listening to music while on my way to work, as I feel it helps me to prepare for the day that waits. I think it is like the memoirs to my life as it has been there throughout everything with me.
When I was younger, I didn’t have the great love for musical as I do now. I mainly listened to whatever was playing in the background or what my parents were listening to. I didn’t have much of a care for musical compositions. There was sometimes a little bit of pop music thrown in to the mix here and there, but that’s really all I liked back then. Whether I was in the car, the house, or anywhere else there was sure to be some Beatles, Buddy Holly, or the Dubliners constantly playing somewhere in the background. At the time I didn’t care for that genre of music much, but now as I’m older, I enjoy it as it allows me to reminisce on memories from times of my childhood. Once I hit my teenage years music became my life and gradually started to inhibit my soul.
Music helps your body heal Like most people, you probably find that good tunes play a key role in powering you through a tough spin class or morning run. It turns out that listening to music after a workout is also beneficial—researchers found that listening to music post-workout increases relaxation by lowering your heart rate and cortisol (your body’s stress hormone) levels back to normal more quickly.
What’s more, if your sweat session leaves you feeling sore, music can help with that, too. Thanks to researchers we now know that when music reaches the brain, it sets off a series of chemical reactions that run interference with pain signals, preventing you from feeling as much discomfort.
Tip: To help your body recover from a workout, download this playlist of Fredmusic02 to listen to with your Bose Frames Alto as you head home from the gym. Or, listen to a few favourites: Scientists found music had the biggest benefit for pain relief. @Fredmusic02

Nothing lifts the spirits like a good song. It’s truly what music is meant to do. Sure, not all tunes are necessarily meant to put you in a better mood - some are meant to piss you off, or offer an empathetic voice in times of sorrow. What music really, truly does better than any other artistic medium, though, is act as a dose of serotonin for the soul. No matter what’s going on in your life, hearing the right song at the right time can make everything feel better, at least for that moment. @Fredmusic02@BurnaBoy@distrokid
One cannot deny the fact that music makes everyone who listens to it “feel” something. That feeling can range from sadness and anger to trust and love, but ultimately music instills joy in all who listen.
More than simply a positive mood, happiness is a state of well-being that encompasses living a good life. The main goal of musicians is to instill a sense of happiness in both the composer and those who listen. Music takes people to new places, sometimes alone, sometimes together. It’s completely universal, yet at the same time, personal. It brings out a sense of feeling in the listener, whether that be anger, excitement, or sadness, but most of all pleasure.
The music is the message, the message is the music. So that’s my little ministry that the Big Man upstairs gave to me — a little ministry called love and happiness. @Fredmusic02 @Davido @distrokid
Happiness is your natural state. It is totally independent of whatever you have, be, or do, yet it improves all that you experience. It makes it all more enjoyable, precious, and easier. Happiness really is who you are, and you can experience this for yourself by looking openly and honestly at your own direct experience.
If you are in doubt that this is possible for you, that is okay. I encourage you to believe nothing that you read in this book until you can prove it for yourself. But I promise you that what this book points to is really possible for you. I have the absolute conviction that you can uncover your ultimate happiness and live it in every moment. This conviction is based on my own direct experience over more than four decades of working with the teachings of the late Lester Levenson, my friend, mentor, and the coauthor of this book, and then sharing his teachings with hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
Quite simply put, happiness is you being your Self. Not the limited self that you pretend to be most of the time, but the unlimited Self that you are and have always been. This is the Self that is always effortlessly present before, during, and after everything else that appears in your experience. You are the radiant yet changeless background that allows for everything else to exist, even in a tumultuous world.
For most of us, this is not our living experience. We have covered over our Beingness with thoughts, feelings, and beliefs to the contrary. We now spend most of our time bolstering the illusions that we have created for ourselves, leaving very little time for the inner reflection that can set us free from this totally self-imposed and artificial sense of limitation.
It takes tremendous energy to maintain the illusion that unlimited Beingness is actually limited to the particular body-mind that you call yourself. No wonder we are so exhausted most of the time. We have unlimited energy available to us, but instead of using this energy for good or to discover who we truly are, we use this energy to convince ourselves and others around us that we are limited—that we have personal problems.
