Just wrapped up recording an AI chat app, kinda like DeepSeek, but with my own spin on it. Wanted to nail the core concepts and make something that actually stands out in the AI market. Plus, there’s already a solid version on the app stores! Just submitted a version for review—fingers crossed they approve it inshallah 🤞.

🚀 𝗜’𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗟𝗜! 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝘆:

So, I used to roll with RN CLI for my mobile projects because it’s 𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 when it comes to building .aab, ipa and .apk files. Plus, it’s super scalable, giving you full control over your app. 💪

Here’s the deal though: every new project meant setting up everything from scratch:

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 → For those smooth, buttery animations.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 → To level up user experience.

𝗩𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀 → Because icons are life.

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 (𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗦𝗦) → To keep styling clean and fast.

𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 → Bruh, every app needs this!

𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝘅 → For state management like a pro.

Plus, setting up splash screens, app icons, and debugging random errors... 🥴

⚡️ All this took me ~5 hours per project!

So, I switched to 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙤 for the convenience—less setup, fewer headaches. But here’s the thing: 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙤 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚. It’s great for quick projects but falls short for anything big & I hate this 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘂𝗲𝗱 that would takes hours... 𝙒𝘼𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀 𝙏𝙄𝙀𝙍...

Then I discovered 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘-𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥: a template that sets up everything I need in 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 for both Android & iOS! 🤯

Now I just run:

npx @react-native-community/cli init MyAwesomeApp --template with-router-tailwind-reanimated

And boom—everything’s ready to go. Saved 5+ hours per project! I’m hyped. Templates are life. 🎉
