âWhen the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truthâŚâ â John 16:13
Most of the time we read this verse and automatically assume Jesus only meant âreligious truth.â But the Holy Spirit is interested in every part of your life.
Yes, He teaches and strengthens us spiritually. But He also guides us into wisdom, creativity, insight, solutions, ideas, and understanding beyond our natural ability.
âBy wisdom the Lord laid the earthâs foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place.â â Proverbs 3:19
âIf any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all.â â James 1:5
When you look into the lives of people like George Washington Carver, Gary Starkweather, Mary Hunter and others, you begin to realize something: the Holy Spirit wants to be involved in more than church services and Bible studies.
Truth belongs to God. Wisdom belongs to God. Creation belongs to God.
So ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in your everyday life. From something as simple as âHow should I structure my day?â to âTeach me how to solve this problem.â
Why spend our lives experimenting aimlessly when the Spirit of God is willing to guide us step by step?

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:15:
âWhat is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.â
So as you practice praying in tongues, I also encourage you to keep praying Paulâs prayers in Ephesians 1 & 3 over yourself as well. We need both the strengthening of the spirit and the renewing of the mind.
Hereâs the prayer:
'I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened so that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep the love of Christ is, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge so that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. And to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.'
Write this down somewhere and proclaim it over yourself daily.

A reminder to take the gift of tongues seriously.
Scripture says, âAnyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselvesâ (1 Cor. 14:4). God didnât give us this gift for no reason. It strengthens, builds up, and refreshes the inner man.
Many of us are praying for more strength while neglecting one of the very things God already gave us to walk in it.

Scripture calls us a chosen people, children and heirs of God, a royal priesthood. Weâre told we have authority over the enemy, grace to overcome sin, spiritual gifts, and power to live a godly life.
Jesus even said:âWhoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.âJohn 14:12
So why donât most believers live like that?
For a long time, that frustrated me too. But I started realizing something: authority and power follow surrender.
A lot of us want the power of God without the obedience of God. We want Him to bless our plans, our goals, our version of life, while still staying in control. Then we wonder why thereâs no spiritual authority, no boldness, no fruit.
But in the Kingdom of God, power has a cost: dying to yourself and submitting fully to His will.
Why would God entrust spiritual authority to people who barely seek Him, live for comfort, and keep their minds fixed on temporary things?
We are called to love God, love people, live holy lives, make disciples, and serve like Christ. And when our lives start aligning with what matters to Him, we begin to walk in what He already promised us.

âAs long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.â â Exodus 17:11
There is no neutral ground in the spiritual life. Passivity has consequences. Moses wasnât the one fighting the battle, but as long as his hands were lifted to Jehova Nissi, Israel prevailed.
But there will be seasons when seeking God feels heavy. And the verses after show us what weâll need in those moments:
âWhen Mosesâ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up.â â Exodus 17:12
To avoid long seasons of spiritual weariness, you need two things: structure and community.
Like the stone Moses sat on, you need structure in your daily walk with God. Not a rigid system, just a clear starting point. For some thatâs a chapter a day. For others itâs prayer walks, journaling, or devotionals. The point is consistency.
And you also need people around you. People who pray for you, encourage you, and help keep your eyes on Christ when youâre tired. Not people to replace your dependence on God, but people God uses to strengthen you.

'To obey is better than sacrifice.' â 1 Samuel 15:22
Obedience is Godâs love language. It is one of the clearest ways you show Him that your love is real. 1 Samuel 15:22 says, âTo obey is better than sacrifice.â Takeaway: love for God is not proved only by what you feel, say, or sing. It is proved by how you respond when He tells you what to do.

Pray Paul's prayer EVERYDAY over yourself and see the result!!
I pray:
- for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You.
- that the eyes of my understanding may be enlightened so I may know the hope to which You have called me.
- to know the riches of Your glorious inheritance in Your holy people.
- to know Your incomparably great power for us who believe.
- that You may strengthen me with power through faith.
- that i may have power, together with my brothers and sisters in Christ, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep the love of Christ is, so I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
And to you who are able to do immeasurably more than I could ever ask or image, to you be the glory in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Busyness isnât new. Itâs one of the enemyâs oldest strategies. If he canât pull you into sin, heâll bury you in âgoodâ things, fill your schedule, and weigh you down with responsibilities until youâre too distracted to actually seek God.
My pastor said something last Sunday that really stuck with me. The way out of this is to look at your life through the lens of Jesusâ return and order your priorities from there.
Every morning ask yourself honestly: if Jesus was coming back tonight⌠what would actually matter? What would I want to have done?
When you strip it down, it usually comes back to two things: loving God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and loving people the way you should.
Thatâs where your focus should be.

When you isolate, your thoughts get louder and truth gets easier to ignore. Struggle grows in secrecy, and deception loves distance from godly help. Ecclesiastes 4:10 warns about falling alone. Takeaway: stop calling isolation strength. Let trusted, godly people help you before the lie hardens.

Wanting impact without humility is dangerous. God does not entrust weight to people who refuse surrender. James 4:6 says God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Takeaway: stop chasing visible power while neglecting hidden submission. What is not yielded to God should not be trusted with influence.
