Scottish song keeper | Voice of Outlander
Griogair Labhruidh is one of Gaelic Scotland’s most distinctive contemporary voices. Known for his performances on Outlander and his work with the multi-platinum Afro Celt Sound System, he brings Highland tradition into a bold, modern, cinematic space.
A singer, songwriter and piper from a celebrated West Highland lineage, his music draws on deep cultural memory, a vast archive of traditional song, and a powerful original voice unmistakably his own.

I first sang on Outlander back in 2016 — from traditional songs in the early seasons to the Season 6 theme, and my own Gaelic version of it.
What has moved me most is the way the fans responded.
People heard my voice in those scenes. They asked about the Gaelic, the meaning, the history, and the culture behind the songs.
Over time, fans began calling me the “The Voice of Outlander”.
That means more to me than I can easily say, especially as the show reaches its finale.

Exactly 10 years ago I was joined by many other hopeful Scots who believe in social justice at my croft in the Scottish Highlands for a weekend of music, fun and celebration. We gathered together, in typical Scottish style and had a huge party despite the despair we all felt after the result. The year 2014 meant so much to so many in Scotland.
