Early read after a few hits: the power is surprising for how light it is. It hits plenty hard, and the face is one of the grittiest I’ve tested, so the spin grip is real. It’s light and balanced toward the handle, so it stays quick and it’s easy to move. Stability runs a little low, so I’d expect it to settle in with some weight added. Will do that later.

The Ultre (Ultra) has a feel I keep coming back to…and like. It’s good. Very, very good.

Crisp, but not overly muted. Almost like honeycomb. There's structure to the contact. A snap. MPP foam core plays like that. You feel the ball. And not at all muted.

The shape changed. Flat top. Straight sides. No flare on the head. Less face real estate than the Vapor, which is exactly what tightens the response and gives you that feel.

Same hex grit. Same spin output.

This Paddle Was Inspired By SHRIMP 🦐 (And It Actually Plays Pretty-Prettttty-Pretty-Good)

I was skeptical about the Revolin Roya. A paddle made with flax fiber inspired by mantis shrimp armor? Sounded like marketing BS.

But after a few hours of play today, this thing genuinely surprised me.

The Feel: Think Gen 1 Bantam but with MORE control. That’s the sweet spot this hits. The proprietary Helicoid + BioFLX surface combined with their TerraGrit ceramic texture gives you this unique blend of soft dwell time with enough bite for consistency.

What I Like: Power sits right in that all-court range...not poppy, just controllable. Swing weight around 112-114 (I have the 5” handle widebody). That ceramic texture is noticeably grittier than standard grit. Resets were LOCKED IN.

The Bigger Picture: Revolin is the most environmentally friendly pickleball company out there, and this is MADE IN THE USA. When you can get performance AND sustainability, that’s a win.
