The Don Rob Show

Folks, I have produced a notebook that I’m selling in direct batches.

These were produced in Lebanon 🇱🇧 in coordination with a local business here using 100% recycled paper.

I am in Lebanon for the next few weeks where I will be selling a few before I take them back to the US to sell for anyone interested.

If you’d like to secure a copy, message me on instagram, or leave your handle in the comments and I’ll reach out to you directly! (@donrobshow)

Papua New Guinea is unlike any place I’ve ever been.

I spent time in the highlands, sitting down with tribal leaders and witnessing firsthand a nation grappling with modernity while holding onto its ancient roots.

With over 1,000 tribes, each with its own language and traditions, PNG is not just one culture—it’s many, woven together under a single flag.

Some of the toughest, most eye-opening conversations I had:

⚖️ Tribal law vs. common law—who truly holds power?
🙋‍♀️Gender roles—how are they changing?
🔮Superstition & spiritual beliefs—what still shapes daily life?
📚Cultural dress—how much is tradition, how much is tourism?

PNG is misunderstood. It’s layered, raw, and complex. I barely scratched the surface, but one thing is clear—this country is defining its future on its own terms.

Go. Experience it for yourself. Meet some of the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll ever encounter.

The world is full of places that will challenge what you think you know. Seek them out.

A few weeks ago, I joined my good friends @harryjaggard and @willpalmeer (the chef behind all these great shots) to film a documentary exploring life inside a Filipino prison.

Unsurprisingly, it was full of surprises.

Life behind bars in this prison is harsh. The facility, designed to hold 150 inmates, is crammed with 356. Prisoners not only share cells but also share beds.

The heat is relentless, and the food—bland and lacking basic spices—serves as a stark reminder of the everyday comforts we take for granted.

Yet, amidst these conditions, there were aspects of this prison that stood out in contrast to what I’ve seen or read about in the U.S.

Here, inmates spend their days learning new skills or trades. Families are free to visit as often as they wish. Perhaps most notably, guards and officials treat prisoners with a level of dignity that acknowledges their potential for redemption, focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment.

In many Western countries, including the U.S., committing a crime often becomes a lifelong label—a scarlet letter that overshadows opportunities for reform. It’s a missed chance to transform individuals who’ve erred into advocates or mentors who can help others avoid the same mistakes. We should move away from a punitive structure and one that is more focused on reform.

I don’t claim to have the answer for how this cultural shift should happen, but I hope these conversations spark thought and change, however small.

In respect to the inmates:

• Maybe they lacked someone who held them accountable.
• Maybe they were never taught how to express themselves in a healthy way.
• Maybe they grew up in abusive or neglectful environments.

Whatever the reason, there’s always room for reflection and growth.

During this visit, I had the chance to sit down with three inmates and hear their stories as I helped Harry film his documentary.

If you’d like to see those conversations, they’re now live on my YouTube channel.

🗣️ In my next conversation, I sit down with AnneMarie Kramer—a businesswoman, Breathwork practitioner, and Yoga teacher.

📈 AnneMarie built a multi-million dollar yoga business in California, which she decided to close in 2020 to avoid enduring years of lockdown due to COVID regulations.

🫡 As she has done before, she reinvented herself and found new paths to success.

🧘‍♀️ The topics we discuss are tricky to delve into. I find that those who need these things the most often tune out when conversations around breathwork, meditation, and movement arise.

🙇 We’re so focused on logic and reason that we forget the value of reconnecting with our intuition.

🫥 We’re bound by attachments—to things, people, and our past mistakes—without realizing that our own ego is the biggest obstacle to growth.

🤲 Practices like meditation, yoga, and breathwork help us become aware of these attachments and choose what to let go of.

⚒️ We all want to be the best version of ourselves, but are we equipped with the right tools to do so?

👥 Change occurs when a bridge is established between the conscious and subconscious mind.

🤲 Give yourself 10 minutes today to start the construction of that bridge, and you will be taking one step closer toward a destiny of your choosing.
