Question for my followers. Is this something you would buy? Something you could put on your desk? I’m thinking about buying material and making a bunch if there is interest. It will also be a BUNCH of videos coming out soon on how I figured it all out. Let me know down in the comments below.
RIP Dad. The knowledge you gifted me has taken me to places I never would of seen with out it. You showed me a life as a child that most people only could dream of and taught me so much. I’m a 4th generation machinist because of you and I will never forget the day you saw me program a part at 14 years old and told me “you see, it’s in our blood”
I’m grateful you got to see some of the success I’ve run into in my field. I’m grateful I got to show you what I really could do. I wish you could have seen how far I am going to take all this. It’s just the beginning. I’m glad I got to come home and see you this last year. You won’t be forgotten
Some of these pictures are of his old shop on 7 mile in Detroit. My favorite one is of him with a cigarette in his mouth at the machine. He was an old school machinist who could do more with a screw machine and a Bridgeport than most people could ever do with today’s modern equipment. He showed me such a cool version of this trade. From old school to modern. I’m so grateful this has been the life I’ve lived and it really is all thanks to him.
Thank you everyone for getting us to 20,000 subscribers on this channel! It’s been a crazy 8 months for me and I am grateful to all of you for subscribing to the channel! Got lots of macro videos and CAM projects in the works for you!
Got to get away this weekend for some much needed time away from the snow! I wildly underestimated how much I despise the cold weather 😂
Hope you all have a great weekend! Thank you again to my subscribers. I couldn’t do what I do without you!
Our video production is about to RAMP UP! Hired a professional editor with machining experience so you can expect more long form videos coming out every two weeks from here on out. We will be covering everything CAM, macro, machine or industry related.
This is us setting up for a macro video on a Saturday.
Got any topics you’d like us to cover? Is there something you consider confusing or difficult related to machining? Comment down below and we will get to it!
10pm on a Saturday with RIT Racing! Worked 14 hours today to help get their parts made for a race car they are working on! Covered in oil and exhausted!
I really gotta say these young men have really restored my faith in Gen Z. These guys work their tails off to make it happen! I’m super grateful I got to be a part of their project!
I’ll have more details and footage of the crazy day we just had but for now I need to go home and see my girlfriend and my dog!
I love doing this. It’s fun, it’s intense, it’s difficult and it makes me feel like all these years of work on my own time were worth it. It’s my comfort zone. Days like today I’m just left alone (left alone is only 3 interruptions per hour), lights on and just having fun. I’m lucky. Very lucky. Hope you all have a good weekend! Thanks to all of you that make this possible. Love you all!
RTFM!!! Every shop owner I meet is DYING to find talent in the CNC machining field. The information is out there now. It isn’t like it used to be where there were so many “trade secrets” and you were held back from getting ahead because some dirt bag was scared you would take his job. You can take years off your learning curve by just taking an hour to study your equipment.
It’s really all I’ve done to get ahead in my trade and it’s taken me pretty far. I get that it’s not what everyone wants but the truth is if it IS what you want it is right there waiting for you
For a machinist I feel so lucky to have a job where I’m told NOT to come into work Friday and take a trip up north in Michigan. It’s been a lot of years of work but there are so many paths you can take in this industry that can lead to a great career. All it takes is time, hard work and don’t be a dick when people ask for things. Make yourself useful and the rest will come.
