This ferocious predator’s teeth could reach up to 28 centimetres! 😱🦷
This skeleton belonged to Smilodon, an extinct sabre-toothed cat that lived in North America about 15,000 years ago. It ambushed its prey and ate the flesh by stabbing it with its sabre-like teeth!

It took Wildlife Photographer of the Year Wim van den Heever 10 years to capture this evocative image.
Brown Hyenas are incredibly elusive animals and Wim had to use all of his patience, and detective powers to set up his camera in the right place at the right time.
