Welcome to Mispronounced Adventures.
This channel combines overland travel, self-built campervans, and technical van build projects from Five Arctic winter expeditions to electrical systems, diesel heaters, solar, and off-grid living.
Over the last few years I’ve travelled across the Nordic Arctic in self-built vans, documenting extreme winter vanlife, remote travel, and the reality of building and living in challenging conditions.
I currently travel in a self-built 4x4 MAN TGE campervan, doing almost everything myself: electrics, carpentry, heating, solar, water systems, and more.
Alongside YouTube, I also work professionally as an expedition leader, leading groups and carrying out reconnaissance trips around the world.
Why “Mispronounced Adventures”? Because I’m dyslexic, and usually spend half the trip pronouncing places incorrectly… only learning the right way once I arrive there.

CHANNEL UPDATE.
Normality is returning to the channel videos. New Arctic season 5 video out soon. Been away on holiday in Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore ( next ).
Exploring New Zealand’s north island lord of the rings locations.
1. Paths of the dead ( pinnacles )
2. Huka falls
3. Blue Spring
4. Hobbiton
5. Hobbiton ( inside a hobbit hole )
6. Hobbiton ( pint in the Green Dragon )
7. Glow Warms
8. Gollums pool ( Taranaki Falls )
9. Taking the Ring to Mount Doom ( Mount Ngauruhoe )
10. Rivendell
I managed to edit the next arctic episode whilst I’ve been away.
New Zealand isn’t the sort of content I film and it’s nice not to have the camera out film everything.
I’ll be back in the uk in a few days. Where up coming content will be finishing off Arctic season round 5 and then the rebuild of the of van!
Cheers

Busy time coming up for me.
The next three videos are product collaborations videos which are somewhat unrelated to the Arctic trip ( although two filmed on the Arctic trip ) . But they had contract deadlines which needed to be released and if I’m honest, they are the videos which are directly funding the Arctic trip. Normally I fund the Arctic trip before the i leave but you may have noticed I bought a new van which you can probably anticipate has eaten quite a lot of my funding 😂
I’m now back in the UK and about to fly off on another trip for a few weeks, but I will be doing a bit of editing whilst I’m away. The normal rest of the Arctic trip will resume as soon as I can. That’s probably at least another six episodes.
Cheers

Arctic season round five is a go. We’ve made it to Sweden in less than 36 hours..
Jo and I have rapidly built some temporary furniture for the purpose of this trip.
There will be a bit of a mis-match in videos. I will have some of the Arctic videos come out as soon as they’re ready and then hopefully supplemented with a second video a week with some of the van build videos which are catching up. So short-term in the release order could be a bit confusing, but there are about five unedited build videos which I also need to get out.
