Many of my guests from Japan and around the world who enjoy Japanese garden tours are also passionate about bonsai exhibitions — and it’s no coincidence.

On this channel, the most watched videos are from bonsai exhibitions, and this event is one of the highlights of the year.

I spent the last four days at the 45th Japan Bonsai Taikan Exhibition in Kyoto — one of the two most important bonsai exhibitions in Japan.
Filming, learning, meeting masters from all over the world, and enjoying the beauty of this art.

Next major event in January: Gafu-ten – Japan’s largest shohin bonsai exhibition.
