I've been using printables for one-off things for Jericho like vet visits, meal prep notes, etc. But I love to use a printed journal for tracking his health and needs. So now that Jericho has been to the vet and I have confirmation...
I finally feel comfortable sharing this picture and the full story.
I found out Jericho has food allergies... by accident.

Jericho's been itchy, had chin acne, recurring ear infections, and on and off respiratory issues.

Thankfully, his bloodwork is great and he is "one healthy cat" - vet's words!
Only one white blood cell is elevated. His vet said that's consistent with allergies.
Everything else is normal - his kidney values, liver function, thyroid, red blood cells... on raw and at 10 years old 🩵

But I've been adding and removing proteins from his diet for the past year or so.
And I'm doing another diet reset to test others after his last allergic reaction.

I say I found out by accident because I didn't think it was food allergies.
But I was so frustrated with all the extra supportive supplements I was giving him because nothing was working. So I did a diet reset (aka elimination diet) and he got better! Then I added beef to his diet... he got way worse.

So it's been up and down but overall Jericho is getting better!
You can see in these pics that his chin is healing.
The second picture was taken this morning.

Such a relief to know for sure that it's allergies (vet confirmed this). Whew.
Took a while to get here but I'm still testing and doing another diet reset now.

😽 Quick Jericho update 😽
I took Jericho to the vet yesterday because he's been scratching, and his eye was swollen. Long story short it was stressful but a great experience because the vet was so kind and supportive of me feeding raw and was shocked to hear that Jericho is 10 years old! She and her assistant said he is very strong and healthy. She also confirmed that Jericho has allergies. I know he has food allergies after doing a diet reset, but she also said it could be seasonal even though he's indoor only. Good to know! Anyway, Jericho is doing much better today, and I'm glad I have a wonderful and supportive vet that we can count on now.
