Hailing from Chicago, but raised in Long Beach, Miriah "Ry" Carey is a singer and songwriter who is returning to the scene as a solo artist. After parting ways from the girl group HerStory, and working in the duo USII under Brian Michael Cox and J. Que Smith, Ry has officially released her first single as a solo artist, “Eyes”. The record shows how the R&B songstress can wield her voice over genre-blended melodies and cadence. "Eyes" is not the traditional Ry sound, but it serves as a symbolic means of her taking control over her own story, narrative and sound. Music is a true and honest passion of Ry’s and she aspires make timeless music that leaves people feeling good and wanting more.
