📖 Thursday Scripture | Acts 7:55–56 (CSB)

“Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw God’s glory, with Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and he said, ‘Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!’”

Reflection:
Even in the hardest moments, Stephen kept his eyes on God. When everything around him was against him, heaven was still open. Faith means fixing our focus on Christ—no matter the situation.

✨ I hope this blesses someone today.

📖 Thursday Scripture | John 1:19–28 (CSB)
John the Baptist’s Testimony

This was John’s testimony when the Jews from Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him, “Who are you?”

He didn’t deny it but confessed, “I am not the Messiah.”

“What then?” they asked him. “Are you Elijah?”

“I am not,” he said.

“Are you the Prophet?”

“No,” he answered.

“Who are you, then?” they asked. “We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What can you tell us about yourself?”

He said, “I am a voice of one crying out in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord—just as Isaiah the prophet said.”

Now they had been sent from the Pharisees. So they asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you aren’t the Messiah, or Elijah, or the Prophet?”

“I baptize with water,” John answered them. “Someone stands among you, but you don’t know him. He is the one coming after me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to untie.”

All this happened in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Reflection:
John didn’t seek titles or recognition—he pointed people to Jesus. True faith is not about drawing attention to ourselves, but preparing the way for the Lord.

✨ I hope this blesses someone today.

📖 Thursday Scripture | John 6:1–15 (CSB)
The Feeding of the Five Thousand

After this, Jesus crossed the Sea of Galilee (or Tiberias). A huge crowd was following him because they saw the signs that he was performing by healing the sick. Jesus went up a mountain and sat down there with his disciples.

Now the Passover, a Jewish festival, was near. So when Jesus looked up and noticed a huge crowd coming toward him, he asked Philip,
“Where will we buy bread so that these people can eat?”
He asked this to test him, for he himself knew what he was going to do.

Philip answered him,
“Two hundred denarii worth of bread wouldn’t be enough for each of them to have a little.”

One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,
“There’s a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish—but what are they for so many?”

Jesus said,
“Have the people sit down.”

There was plenty of grass in that place; so they sat down. The men numbered about five thousand. Then Jesus took the loaves, and after giving thanks he distributed them to those who were seated—so also with the fish, as much as they wanted.

When they were full, he told his disciples,
“Collect the leftovers so that nothing is wasted.”
So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces from the five barley loaves that were left over.

When the people saw the sign he had done, they said,
“This truly is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Therefore, when Jesus realized that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

Reflection:
Jesus takes what seems small and makes it more than enough. When we place what we have in His hands, He provides beyond what we expect.

✨ I hope this blesses someone today.

📖 Thursday Scripture | John 6:60–70 (CSB)
Many Disciples Desert Jesus

60 Therefore, when many of his disciples heard this, they said,
“This teaching is hard. Who can accept it?”

61 Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, asked them,
“Does this offend you?
62 Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
63 The Spirit is the one who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all.
The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
64 But there are some among you who don’t believe.”
(For Jesus knew from the beginning those who did not believe and the one who would betray him.)

65 He said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted to him by the Father.”

66 From that moment many of his disciples turned back and no longer accompanied him.

67 So Jesus said to the Twelve,
“You don’t want to go away too, do you?”

68 Simon Peter answered,
“Lord, to whom will we go?
You have the words of eternal life.
69 We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.”

70 Jesus replied to them,
“Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve?
Yet one of you is a devil.”

Reflection:
When the truth is hard, some walk away—but true faith says, “Lord, to whom will we go?” Jesus alone has the words of eternal life.

✨ I hope this blesses someone today.
