This channel is a place where I share my thoughts, inspirations, and experiences, primarily centered on JAZZ RECORDINGS and the musicians who have shaped this remarkable art form. I will at times, also discuss some of my favorite CLASSICAL music recordings as well.

I grew up in the New York City area and earned a degree in music from Indiana University in 1974. After graduation, I returned to New York, where I worked as a professional musician from the mid-1970s through the 1990s. Drawing on those years of experience, I enjoy sharing stories, anecdotes, and personal insights about the music and musicians that have inspired me throughout my life.

Today, I am a professional nature photographer and photography workshop leader, specializing photography workshops in some of the world's most beautiful locations. I reside in the Great Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee. (www.jackgrahamphoto.com)
