My name is Dr. Igor Gaspar, I am a mechanical engineer and I work as a teacher and researcher on MATE (ex. SZIE) university in Budapest, but this channel is about my hobby: 3D printing, Arduino electronic, CAD and 3D design, web development, photography, etc.

Important, for review video requests:
I am located in Europe, but most of my viewers are from English language countries (USA, UK, AU, CA, DE..)
There are no sponsored videos on my channel, all my honest reviews I do for free and there is no possibility for censoring the video. Also, it is important to mention, that for products sent outside of EU I have to pay duty and tax fees. Since I am still very small YouTube channel, sender must accept these fees. This is just short version of my terms, full version is available on mytechfun.com website.

Soon I’ll present my new universal tensile testing machine. It can also do bending and compression tests.
Do you want me to make a separate video explaining the difference between bending strength and elastic modulus?
(I won’t go into detail about this in the review video.)

Hello! The Lyten graphene-reinforced nylon is here. I got many requests to test this filament. Polymaker kindly bought it for me since Lyten doesn’t ship to the EU — big thanks to them for helping me out.
Lyten officially recommends a 0.6 mm nozzle.
Should I test it with a 0.4 mm nozzle to see if it clogs, or follow the recommendation and use 0.6 mm?

Sunlu sent me their new PPA-CF filament for testing. It turned out to be an extremely strong material, and the video is already about 90% finished.
But when I asked them to confirm the price, they told me the filament has been discontinued.
Now I’m not sure what to do. Should I still finish and publish the video, even if the filament is no longer available?
Maybe they consider it too brittle — but I’m testing that as well, and there are other filaments on the market with similar brittleness.

Creality has been unusually quiet lately…
Are they secretly working on a new non-waste multicolor 3D printer?
If yes, which system do you think they’ll follow?

After my latest E3D hotend video, I got several requests to test other brands as well. So I’ll buy the MicroSwiss, BQ, and BambuLab Tungsten high-flow hotends and compare them side by side in one video.
But since the previous video wasn’t too popular, I want to reduce the workload — I’ll test only one diameter and one material.
This poll is for choosing the material, and please write the diameter you suggest in the comments (0.4 or 0.6 mm?).

Reminder for BambuLab users who print with non-PLA filaments too:
The Engineering Plate is available again tidd.ly/3LNe8NT — and now it’s supported on the H2 printers as well. I’ve already bouth mine, so no complaints later that I’m using a “discontinued” product in my tests 😉

Remember the H2S US version I mentioned in my review video? (It was sent to me by mistake, and I later got a replacement.) I gave it to GerGO Print 3D, and here’s his video about it: https://youtu.be/R3ICMVKqRZE?si=Stwsg...

For the future ABS or similar technical material testing, which printer to use? The reason for the question you can see in my H2S review video: https://youtu.be/SCcnsdMzNOw?si=lg92K...

Let’s stop this “Tullomer effect” — when I was getting several requests per day to test that filament. A similar thing is happening now with the new BIQU filaments, so I bought all 4 basic types from their CORE FILAMENTS line. I’ll start testing them next week, and the video can probably be expected in about 2 weeks.
I also bought Tinmorry PET-GF, CF, PP-CF, Prusament PP-CF, GF, 3DXTech PVDF, Sunlu PP, and Eryone’s new CF filaments… At this point, I can hardly keep up myself! 😅 So don’t forget to enable the notification button — otherwise, it’s easy to miss my videos, since the algorithm doesn’t really suggest them.

It seems detailed reviews of a single filament brand get more views than big comparison videos testing several brands, like my recent 5 PET-CF filament test ( https://youtu.be/6qOrv_r-rKU ). It’s hard to stay motivated to do such big work when there’s so little interest. Which do you prefer?
