Planet Wild is a global community of people that deeply care about the planet. We're on a mission to bring back endangered species, clean up our waterways from plastic and to rewild entire forests to give them back to nature.
How it works:
1. On a monthly basis, our team selects impactful environmental projects;
2. The contributions from our global community are used to fund these projects;
3. Community members get video reports from our environmental missions, seeing the impact that they are unleashing with their contributions;
4. Step by step, our global community restores nature, increases biodiversity, unleashing a much needed systematic change.

Mission 39 is live! This time, weâre heading to Lake Victoria, Africaâs largest lake, to stop a phenomenon that sounds like a glitch in nature: âgrowing rocks.â Unfortunately, itâs not as magical as it sounds and has catastrophic effects on the lake and local communities.
By combining local wisdom with advanced tech, weâre helping to create a forest that stops the rocks permanently.

When you imagine helping the planet, one thing you probably picture is planting a tree. It sounds so simple, right? But across the globe, âphantom forestsâ are appearing: areas where trees were planted but didnât survive, meaning they exist only on paper.
In 3 days, weâre heading to Kenya to support high-tech tree planting and build a forest that lasts.
Stay tuned to see how technology (in combination with local expertise) is making sure this forest doesnât just thrive on paper!

We just bought a cloud forest. âď¸Â
In the Colombian cloud forest, nature has a superpower: it regenerates faster than almost anywhere else on Earth.
Thatâs why we just bought a huge plot of land here. By simply removing the cattle and protecting the borders, we are allowing this mystical, moisture-rich habitat to regenerate itself.
But what exactly is hiding in the mist of our new land?
From giant worms to ancient tree species that evolved alongside dinosaurs, we went deep into the mountains to uncover the secrets of the forest we helped save.

Imagine a wilderness so dense and layered that one single tree is its own universeâhosting thousands of plants and animals that never need to touch the ground.
This is the Colombian cloud forest: a unique ecosystem where five species of wild cats rule the terrain and ancient tree species still exist.
In 2 days, weâre launching a new mission and heading into these misty mountains to protect this unique and mystical ecosystem.

Right now, a movement is taking shape in Brazil that is using a bold environmental law to turn millions of hectares of degraded land into a nature paradise.
For decades, large parts of the Cerrado savanna in Brazil have been cleared. Whatâs left behind are isolated pieces of wilderness surrounded by farmland.
But now conservationists are working with farmers to reconnect these fragments and bring nature back to the landscape.
In Mission 37, we travelled to Brazil to meet the people behind this movement and support their work on the ground.

In 3 days, a new mission is going live! This time, weâre heading to a place most people have never heard of: The Cerrado.
Itâs the most biodiverse savanna on Earth and home to around 5% of all plant and animal species.
Yet in just 50 years, more than half of it has has been cleared, and what remains of the Cerrado are fragmented islands of wilderness.
Stay tuned for our next mission, where weâre supporting an ambitious plan to reconnect these fragments and build a massive biodiversity corridor.
