Well, this was unexpected.

Some Wallpaper Engine wallpapers on the Steam Workshop were reportedly found spreading malware, and a few of them had already been downloaded by thousands of people before getting removed.

Wallpaper Engine itself isn't infected, but it's kinda wild that even something as simple as a wallpaper can turn into a security risk. Be careful with what you download out there and regularly scan your system for malwares and viruses

Lately, the reach on my videos has been steadily declining.

The last four uploads have underperformed, and the most recent two are actually the worst-performing videos I've had in a very long time. I'd be lying if I said that wasn't discouraging. There are moments when I wonder whether spending my evenings after work and most of my weekends making videos is really worth it when so few people end up seeing them.

After spending a lot of time looking at the numbers and thinking about it, I've come to a realization: YouTube moves in cycles. Sometimes the algorithm gives you momentum, and sometimes it doesnt. You can fight it, chase trends, and try to force growth but that doesn't always work.

In fact that's partly where I went wrong.

Over the past few months, I've tried covering more trending topics because I thought they might help the channel recover. Ironically, those videos ended up performing even worse than I expected.

So I've made a decision.

I'm not quitting. I'm not slowing down. If anything, I am doubling down.

Instead of chasing trends, I'm going to focus on making the kinds of videos that I genuinely enjoy creating and that I believe have the most value.

So expect more analytical videos, industry critiques, deep dives into gaming topics, and interesting lesser-known facts from across the gaming world.

I'm also planning to start working on longer documentary style video essays (30+ minutes) that explore certain topics in much greater depth.

And the first documentary-style video I'm planning is actually one of the most requested topics I've ever received.

Thank you to everyone who's still watching, commenting, and supporting the channel. It means more than you probably realize.

The numbers may be down right now, but the passion to create isn't.

When I started working on my first video exactly 3 months back on 29th Oct 2025, I actually had 0 hopes because I never believed that I'll be managed to get even 50 subscribers on my channel, "Koi meri videos kyun hi dekhega" this was the exact thought I had at that time but I didn't give up, I love video games and just wanted to share my frustrations and thoughts on gaming and that was the thing which motivated me to keep making videos.

starting some videos did okayish didn't even cross 100 views then suddenly 4th video crossed 500 views and suddenly channel had 50+ subs then 8th video crossed 1k and 10th even crossed 2k views and finally the first milestone in my youtube journey "100 subscribers" is here, I can't express what I'm feeling in words. Let's make it 500 in the next 3 months 🙌.

I'm getting a lot of suggestions to make shorts, especially to grow this channel in the early stage.

I myself don't watch any shorts (reels, snaps, status nothing) so really not familiar with the medium, my main focus was to get an audience which prefers all types of video essays related to games but now I'm considering making shorts once or twice a week about things like games recommendations, lesser known facts or some amazing gaming related moments,

what do y'all suggest ?
