Hi, I’m Altercate. I make feature-length retrospective reviews of classic video games like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. Sometimes I also critique modern games.

My videos celebrate human creativity and passion, and provide in-depth analysis of the development and design of great games. I look at games from the perspective of what they meant at the time they were first released, as well as the legacy they’ve left behind. I point out what worked and what didn’t work, but always with a positive approach.

My content is 100% human made
- The scripts are written entirely by me
- The voiceover is recorded by me
- All the content featured in my videos is made by humans (to the best of my knowledge)
