The hunt for the Mole has come to an end, and our community pool results are officially in.

A huge congratulations goes out to MCStone90 for winning the pool! Your detective skills were top-tier this season, and you navigated the web of lies perfectly to come out on top.

It has been a blast watching everyone on the Dutch Life Diaries pool place their bets for the mole week after week. Sometimes we lost points (River seemed to lose week after week!) and sometimes we won. Fortune favors the bold!

I was at Hoog Catharijne and found this "Pay-per-Spray" vending machine in the women’s toilet. I’ve never seen a queue of people look so confused and intrigued at the same time! Pay for a quick spray of Chanel before you hit the shops?

Hey everyone! River here. I’ve been navigating some persistent health challenges since November, and since I handle all our editing, it’s made our release schedule a bit chaotic. We are confident, as our doctor closes in on the culprit, that consistency is in the near future!

We are aiming to move our official release day to THURSDAYS to give us a more sustainable rhythm. Our goal is to have the next video up this Thursday, March 19th.

Take that, Hollywood! The best cheese in the world is officially Dutch! 🇳🇱🏆

If you caught our "Hollywood’s Netherlands" video, you probably remember that "Dutch" cheese shop that, ironically, sold zero actual Dutch cheese. Did they ever overlook some amazing cheeses! And here’s the proof:

The Beemster Royaal Grand Cru (by Cono Kaasmakers in Westbeemster) was just crowned World Champion at the World Championship Cheese Contest in Wisconsin! 🥇

It went up against nearly 3,400 cheeses from 33 different countries and came out on top. Now, our mission is clear: we HAVE to track down a slice of this Grand Cru to try it for ourselves. And they actually sell this winner in the grocery stores!

It’s been a strange week. We know that as Americans living here in the Netherlands, we’re often viewed through the lens of what’s happening back in the States. We also know that current events in Venezuela and Iran, and the recent rhetoric regarding Greenland, have caused a lot of tension and concern across Europe. As new Europeans, and as believers in democracy and the rule of law, we share that concern.

To those of you staying with us: thank you. To those feeling overwhelmed: we hear you. We’re going to keep focusing on what we do—sharing the beauty of Dutch life—because we believe community matters now more than ever. ❤️
