He redefined the concept of Extreme Adventure by becoming the first person ever to Stand Up Paddle across any ocean. Defying all odds, Chris paddled 7500km – solo, unsupported and unassisted – for 93 days, across the Atlantic Ocean from Morocco, Africa to Antigua in the Caribbean. This is a truly unparalleled global feat!
By conquering this challenge, Chris showed the world that we all have the power to overcome the impossible. Sometimes a picture doesn’t say a thousand words & definitely doesn't give you the full story at all. Started late to get to Oceanside, 27NM/50km, wind died before sunset. Ended up paddling the Cat, fully loaded and solo, the last 3miles/5km in the pitch black, into a dark harbour, with waves breaking on the entrance, but got it done.
Whatever it takes to make it work, sometimes, just find a way and get it done! The upcoast training mission continues to Newport & Catalina and back to San Diego, all part of the prep and discovery.
