How Miami STOLE a Formula 1 race from the rest of the world ๐๏ธ๐ด๐ฅ
Most people think Miami always had an F1 race. The truth is โ it almost never happened at all ๐ณ
The push to bring Formula 1 to Miami started back in 2018 when Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross (2) decided South Florida deserved a place on the most prestigious motorsport calendar on earth ๐๏ธ๐ฐ The idea faced MASSIVE resistance โ local residents protested, city commissioners voted against it multiple times, and the project was nearly killed completely in 2019 ๐ซ
But Ross didn't quit. After years of negotiations, redesigned track layouts (5), and political battles โ May 8, 2022 became the date that changed Miami forever ๐๐ The very first Miami Grand Prix was held around Hard Rock Stadium (3) โ a street circuit unlike anything F1 had ever seen before ๐๏ธ๐
The atmosphere was insane from the very beginning โ massive crowds packed the stadium during the first race weekend (4), while the circuit itself instantly became one of the most visually unique tracks in Formula 1, especially at night (6). The race quickly transformed Hard Rock Stadium into a global motorsport destination (7).
And it wasn't just happening at the track. During F1 weekend, all of Miami turns into a giant celebration. Wynwood hosted huge fan events and activations (8), while thousands of fans from around the world flooded the city. Winning teams celebrated directly inside the stadium after the race (9), creating moments that instantly became part of Miami sports history ๐๐ฅ
The numbers are staggering:
โ ๐๏ธ 240,000+ fans attend race weekend annually
โ ๐ต $400+ million injected into Miami's economy each year
โ ๐ Viewers from 180+ countries watch the race live
โ ๐ Wynwood alone sees 300% increase in foot traffic during race weekend
From a rejected idea to one of the hottest races on the F1 calendar in just 4 years ๐ค๐ฅ
We walked Wynwood during F1 weekend and captured the insane energy ๐ฅ๐ด

Did you know Brickell Miami used to be completely different? ๐คฏ๐
In the 1980s and early 1990s, Brickell Avenue was nicknamed "Cocaine Alley" ๐ณ โ not because of the nightlife, but because the neighborhood sat right in the middle of Miami's infamous drug war era ๐จ Empty office buildings, abandoned luxury condos, and streets that cleared out completely after sunset ๐
The same blocks where you now see Lamborghinis parked outside rooftop bars and girls in designer outfits walking to dinner โ back then locals wouldn't go near them after dark ๐
Fast forward to today and Brickell is literally the financial capital of Latin America ๐ฐ๐ More billionaires per square mile than almost anywhere in the United States. The transformation happened so fast that even long-time Miami residents still can't fully believe it ๐ค๐
From Cocaine Alley to billion dollar skyline in less than 30 years. Only Miami does things like this ๐ด๐ฅ
We just dropped a fresh April 2026 nightlife walk through Brickell ๐ฅ
Girls too stunning. Cars too expensive. Energy absolutely wild.

3 facts about Miami Design District that will blow your mind ๐คฏ๐
1๏ธโฃ The entire neighborhood was almost bulldozed in the 1990s to build a highway. One man stopped it. Now it generates over $1 BILLION in retail sales every year ๐ฐ๐ด
2๏ธโฃ You can walk past a $50,000 handbag in a boutique window and then turn around and see a $500,000 supercar parked on the street like it's nothing. Only here. Only Miami ๐๏ธ๐
3๏ธโฃ David Beckham was spotted here just days ago ๐ โ because apparently even global icons can't resist the Design District energy ๐ค๐
Full walk just dropped on the channel ๐ฅ๐ฅ

Imagine this: back in the 1920s, the area we now call the Miami Design District was nothing more than a pineapple farm and a quiet little neighborhood called Buena Vista. This is where the iconic Moore Building first opened โ one of the very first stores in the U.S. dedicated entirely to furniture. It was a peaceful, industrial corner of Miami filled with warehouses, factories, and furniture showrooms, where life moved at a calm, unpretentious pace.
But by the 1980s and 90s, everything changed โ the district fell into decline, buildings stood empty, and the old charm faded away. Thatโs when visionary developer Craig Robins stepped in. He started buying up abandoned properties and turning them into something extraordinary. Thanks to his vision and partnerships with global luxury giants (including LVMH), the early 2000s saw this place transform into a true oasis: flagship stores from Chanel, Hermรจs, Dior, Balenciaga, stunning street art, bold installations, and jaw-dropping architecture. The Miami Design District became the worldโs first LEED Gold Neighborhood โ a shining example of sustainable, stylish urban revival.
Today, the Miami Design District isnโt just shopping โ itโs an epic journey through design, art, and gourmet experiences. Every corner feels like stepping into an open-air museum where luxury and creativity collide in the most inspiring way. Walking here is like taking a cinematic tour through a living, breathing masterpiece.

Imagine 1950: on the stunning California coast in Pebble Beach, the very first Pebble Beach Road Races kicked off. This wasn't just a raceโit was a true celebration of speed and style, drawing car enthusiasts from everywhere. Among the competitors stood a young driver named Phil Hill, who would later become America's first Formula 1 World Champion. Behind the wheel of his Jaguar XK120, he blasted through the twisting forest roads and claimed victory in the main event, becoming the inaugural winner of this legendary series. That moment laid the groundwork for what would evolve into one of the world's most prestigious automotive events.
The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance started as a modest side attraction to the racesโjust a showcase of beautiful cars for some "social flair." But by 1955, Phil Hill was back in the spotlight. He entered his family's 1931 Pierce-Arrow 41 LeBaron Convertible Town Cabriolet, a car that had been in the family since new. This stunning classic not only took first in its class but also became the very first pre-war (classic) car to win the overall Best of Show award. The judges were blown away by its elegance and pristine condition, marking a key shift: the event was moving from pure racing excitement toward celebrating automotive art and heritage.
Since then, Pebble Beach has grown into an exclusive millionaire's club, where ultra-rare machines fetch fortunes. It's a gathering spot for top collectors, and while no one holds a six-time Best of Show record like some legends inspire, the event continues to blend automotive history with unmatched luxuryโunveiling new secrets from the elite car world every year.
We came across some guys who are true car fanatics, and they shared this awesome story with us. Plus, they've got a really cool video about the eventโ"๐ฐ๐๏ธ PEBBLE BEACH CONCOURS IS NOT A CAR SHOW โ ITโS A MILLIONAIRE CLUB." You can check it out via the link https://youtu.be/Kc1jbE5iTso .
