From that day on I never looked back and started my healing journey. Now I am absolutely fine and started this youtube channel to make my Indian brothers and sisters aware of the TMS/Mind body syndrome and how to heal their chronic pains using mind body approach. To many people it sounds absurd that how can their brain cause physical pain? They are indifferent to the fact that all pain is actually created in the brain in response to any tissue damage, but in case of Tension Myositis Syndrome our brain is sensitized, so it creates pain in response to some negative emotions or stressors in order to protect us( In absence of any tissue injury).
The main purpose of the pain is to protect us so that we don't go on damaging our bodies, but when it comes to constant stress that we go through in today's day to day life, our nervous system is stuck in a fight or flight loop, so the level of stress harmone rises and our autonomic nervous system reduce the oxygen and blood supply to certain tissues (Neck, Back, Shoulder, Gut, Fascial muscles etc), this reduced blood supply and oxygen deprivation causes spasm and stiffness, which leads to pain , inflammation and discomfort.
Good news is we can undo all of this by stopping freaking out about the symptoms and giving messages of safety to our brain that nothing is wrong and we are safe.
By addressing and acknowledging the negatives emotions ( which is a gradual process) , our autonomic nervous system will finally let go of all the spasm and stiffness, and we will live pain free ever again. ❤️❤️❤️🔯🔯🔯
