Chris And Emilie

Hello! We’re Chris and Emilie and we travel the world together.

With just our carry-on bags, we spend half the year abroad — renting apartments in big cities, visiting rural areas, hiking, camping, and immersing ourselves in everyday life. The other half we're in British Columbia, Canada taking road trip in our Honda Pilot microcamper and volunteering with humanitarian organizations, often responding to wildfires and floods.

We pack light and keep our travel plans flexible . We seek connection in each place we visit, and every encounter expands our perspective on the world.

Thanks for checking out our channel!

Seeing London on a Layover! Is it Even Possible? Check out our latest video!

With all our travels, Emilie had somehow never been to London. So when we had a chance for an 18-hour layover in London, we took it. We landed at Heathrow at 11pm, got a bit of sleep, and were on the Elizabeth line by 6am to squeeze in as much site seeing as we could before our next flight.

What did we have time to see? Did we make our connecting flight? Watch our latest video for all the info!

Uganda absolutely blew us away.

From trekking with gorillas and chimpanzees to spotting lions, elephants, and hippos in Queen Elizabeth National Park, every day was amazing.

We originally booked a tour just to get from Kigali, Rwanda to Kampala, Uganda — but instead of the usual intense 4-day wildlife sprint, we stretched it to 6 days. That extra time let us explore local towns on our own, slow down, and really soak it all in.

It turned into one of our most unforgettable travel experiences yet.

We've been loving our time in Kigali, Rwanda, and once we recovered from our jet lag, we developed the urge to explore more of the country. First up? A game drive in Akagera National Park, with a goal of seeing all of Africa's Big Five in one day!

The Galápagos Islands are beautiful to see but they take some time to get to! To visit this amazing archipelago you first have to fly to mainland Ecuador. From there you go through inspections and pay additional fees to be allowed to fly to the protected islands.

The list of things we needed to do to get here seemed daunting to us at first, but it was actually pretty straightforward in the end. If you’re curious about visiting this amazing place, check out our upcoming videos, starting on Sunday.

We're in the beautiful Mexico City for a month and our list of places to see and things to do keep growing. At the top of our list is exploring the historic downtown center, including Zocalo and El Templo Mayor, visiting the Teotihuacan archeological site, taking a colorful boat called a trajinera along the canals in Xochimilco, walking through Chapultepec forest, visiting as many street markets as we can find, and trying lots of food. Check out our videos coming out through out the month on this amazing city!

Chris and I are leaving Vancouver for the next four and a half months to travel through six different countries and all four seasons. As we begin this next adventure, we must ask ourselves, “Is it bad to travel?”

It seems like there are more and more news articles and social media posts the dark side of travel and how over-tourism negatively impacts environment, population, and livability. But does that mean we shouldn't travel? We really hope not! As we start this trip, we're asking ourselves what our travel impact is, and what we can do to be more friendly travelers and reduce our footprint.
