i am writing to share that my baby girl daisy has passed away.

i am completely heartbroken. everything happened so fast.

while i was away on my two-week trip to asia, daisy was staying with her bunny sitter. late thursday night, she suddenly became lethargic and unresponsive, and my sitter rushed her to the emergency vet.

the doctor told me that she was not going to make it. daisy was refusing to eat, her head was down, and she had become very weak. they discovered that she had developed a severe infection, and her body was beginning to shut down.

i landed friday morning and went straight to the hospital. i went there expecting to say goodbye forever.

but when i saw her, she looked so much better than i expected. i brought bubbie (her husbun) with me, and she was so happy to see him. she was eating treats, showing movement, and seemed so much more like herself. seeing her like that gave me so much hope. i truly believed she was going to keep fighting and that i would be bringing her home to bubbie the next day.

this morning, i got the call.

daisy had passed away.

i still don’t understand what went wrong. it wasn’t anyone’s fault. the infection spread through her body so incredibly quickly, and despite everyone’s efforts, her little body couldn’t keep fighting.

the hardest part for me is knowing that i wasn’t there during her last days. i was traveling, and she was with my sitter. i would give anything to have had more time with her.

with that being said, the fundraiser amount has changed. daisy was expected to stay longer in the hospital, but because she passed before some treatments and procedures could be completed, i was refunded part of the cost. i now owe $2,527.85 in veterinary bills.

we are already about 25% of the way there thanks to all of you.

thank you for every donation, message, prayer, and kind words over the past day. i feel so loved and supported by this community, and your kindness has meant more to me than i can ever express.

i will be offline for the next few days while i grieve, but i will be reading all of your messages.

hi funbuns,

i have some really difficult news to share.

as most of you know, i have two bunnies, bubbie and daisy. daisy is the mascot of this channel, and she means absolutely everything to me.

while i was traveling these past two weeks and only returned home today, my bunnies were staying with their bunny sitter. late last night, daisy suddenly became lethargic and unresponsive. our sitter rushed her to emergency care at 1am, where we learned she had developed a serious infection. her heart rate had dropped, her blood pressure was dangerously low, and her kidneys had begun to fail.

right now, daisy is hospitalized and will need to stay there for several days. i honestly don’t have the words to describe how heartbroken and scared i am. she is fighting so hard, and the vets are doing everything they can for her.

the cost of her emergency care and hospitalization is currently $4479.90. i never imagined i would be in a position where i needed to ask for help like this, but i would do absolutely anything for my baby.

if you are able to donate, even $1 truly makes a difference. and if you’re not in a position to give, sharing this or simply keeping daisy in your thoughts and prayers means so much to me too.

thank you all for loving daisy and for always supporting me and my bunnies. i am incredibly grateful for every single one of you.
