TL;DR I'm going to be streaming Monster Rancher 4 on Saturday to make up for no video this month.
I'm just gonna be upfront, I am not quitting. I am however changing how I make things. Which is going to mean no video this month. Making Youtube videos has not been less fun and more taxing this year. I think it is because of how I make videos. I'm the kind of person who has to have multiple projects going so I can cycle through them whenever I get bored with what I am working on.
Typically this has meant that while I am editing a video I'm working on the script for another while recording gameplay of a third. Last year I added some personal projects to the mix too. This year I've also begun making shorts for the Please Stop Talking podcasts. You should go listen to PST by the way. All while I am working my regular 9-5.
Suffice to say I may have been crunching myself in a very unhealthy manner. My general plan is to slow things down on the YouTube side of things to earn some peace of mind. It will mean fewer videos, at least at first. I'm hoping that I can build up a 1 or 2 video buffer so as to eventually get back into a monthly or semi monthly release schedule. To make up for the lack of content I'm going to make a concerted effort to try and stream at least once a month. We’ll see how all that works out though. The first Stream will be Monster Rancher 4 this Saturday (April 26th) probably around 2 or 3 pm.

I'll start with the bad news: no video this month. Between work, life, procrastination, and my first vacation since 2019 I haven't had the time to edit video. But on a positive note I already have 1, maybe 2, review(s) lined up for next month. My plan for the rest of 2024 is to tackle the remaining projects I have planned out. Then in 2025 I'm going to be doing mostly viewer requests. I already have 6 games on the list, but don't hesitate to suggest anything. I also want to try and get in early on some upcoming games like I did with Crow Country, but I'm also not hedging my bets on it.
