Sandy Edwards is the pastor of Thirst With Hunger, a non-profit ministry dedicated to destroying every obstacle that hinders people from knowing God through the ‘filling’ of Matthew 5:6 with the ‘wholeness’ of 3 John 1:2, creating the capacity for a life that prospers as the soul prospers.

All of your experiences in life are like open book tests.
The Bible holds all the answers. Including — when you need counsel — the kind of people you should look for to help you. Including — a case by case analysis — on any given circumstance.
And..
What God put in you to do on this Earth will work.
The key is learning how to simplify your passions and ideas enough to agree with His perfect will.
It will work when you do it His way.

Sometimes we really do want it when God’s not in it and we need to be honest with Him about that.
But instead we try our best to act like we don’t, so we appear more spiritual to God and others than we really are.
When Jesus said to deny yourself — He also meant you’re going to have to come face to face with those desires that seek to separate you from God.
And how exactly do you expect to face them when you won’t acknowledge that they are there?
How do you expect to renew your mind with the word of God, when you won’t acknowledge that the “trash” in the form of thoughts that oppose God are actually present in your mind?
Just some things to think about.

Having to observe and reflect on assigned readings and class materials has helped me to be a better student of God’s word, entrepreneur, teacher, and counselor. My current class has given me much to consider in prayer for the days ahead. Graduation is not that far away.

God’s way of love is not the same love we often prefer or have been indoctrinated to believe is love.
And it’s why we so often find ourselves offended when confronted by another brother or sister in Christ — with The Truth in context of Scripture - as it is written - beyond simple disagreements.
Sure — you can have your own interpretation. But that interpretation still has to be examined and found in 2-3 other places in the Word to support it.
So yes, God is Love.
Yes, we will be known for how we love one another.
AND
We love because HE FIRST loved us.
Not the other way around.
So in order to understand and walk in Love — we must first come into direct contact with love Himself.
Not develop our own version of love and then place God under those standards.
Cherry picking scriptures to support offense never ends well. Nor does it lead to eternal life.

God is worthy of endless amounts of praise 🔥
And too often we allow life to rob us of our joy.
Joy is a heart posture. Not an emotion.
And until your soul (mind, will, and emotions) receives that revelation you will not have peace.
Don’t allow life to rob you of your testimony.
Instead remind life about Jesus — the Son and what He has done to give you eternal life.
You must — learn how to preach the Word to yourself in the secret place.

When Jesus said "Freely ye have received, freely give" — He was not talking about money and your business.
He was talking about the power given to disciples to minister to others. Meaning they should freely:
— Heal the sick,
— cleanse the lepers,
— raise the dead,
— and cast out devils.
In plain terms: Don’t be selfish with the benefits they received freely from Christ in service to others.
It’s actually not good stewardship to give your business — the way you provide for your family — away for free.
It’s also not wise or good stewardship to overextend yourself and say yes to things that you know you don’t have time for. This includes things you can’t afford.
We have to do better at being Spiritual AND Practical in Faith.
You can’t give to the poor, if you don’t have money.
You cannot feed the hungry — if you don’t have money to buy food.
You can’t pay your rent, if you don’t have money.
You can’t pay your mortgage, if you don’t have money.
You can’t take care of your children, if you don’t have money.
Yes, God provides.
But He expects you to be a good steward.
And you’re not a good steward … if you’re giving everything in your business away for FREE.
Read scriptures in full context. Not in what supports your poverty mindset. I’ve personally been guilty of this in seasons past.
We’re not in Heaven yet. Not one street is paved with gold down here.
We still have to live here until Jesus comes.
And Yes, God provides but He expects us to be a good steward.
(Psalm 37:25). , "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
Out of all the places in the world - THE CHURCH is supposed to be fully funded, fully supported, with all things shared in common.
