**Update (30th June)**

Dear Vimochana Family,

I wanted to give you another quick update.

Today is **30th June**, and unfortunately, I'm **still not able to record** the next lecture because of this unexpected throat infection.

To be honest, I thought I would be able to record today. I was eager to get back to teaching, but when I tried recording, my voice simply wasn't good enough. I don't want to upload a lecture with poor audio quality, especially when all my lectures are completely voice-based.

This throat infection has turned out to be a much bigger problem than I initially expected.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I know many of you are waiting, and I'm just as eager to get back. The moment my voice recovers, lectures will resume, and I'll make sure we cover the lost time with longer sessions.

**Dear Vimochana Family,**

I owe you all a sincere apology for the recent inconsistency in uploads.

As many of you know, after a one-month break, I promised that I would restart the lectures on **15th**, and I kept that promise. From **15th to 22nd**, I uploaded lectures regularly.

However, while recording those lectures, my throat had already started getting worse. In fact, the lecture uploaded on **22nd** was recorded on **21st**, when I was somehow managing my voice.

On the morning of **22nd**, I completely lost my voice and couldn't record the next lecture. I thought it would recover in a day, so I planned to record on **23rd** and continue without any delay. Unfortunately, my condition became even worse, and I had to visit a doctor. The doctor has now advised me to take **5 days of complete voice rest**.

This is not an excuse. For almost **one year**, I have uploaded lectures consistently without giving up, and I am equally committed today. I just don't want to damage my voice further and create a bigger delay.

**Three days of rest are already over.** Once I recover, I will cover the missed lectures by uploading **longer lectures (1.5–2 hours)** instead of my usual 1-hour lectures, so that we can get back on track quickly.

I also want to assure every student that **the complete Geography Optional course will be finished.** I am fully committed to this journey, and I won't leave the course incomplete.

Dear Vimochana Family,



I sincerely request you to stay patient and continue trusting the learning journey we have started together.



Over the past few days, I faced an unexpected setback as a significant portion of my data was lost. Because of this, I had to restart the process of content creation from scratch. However, I want to assure you that I am actively re-recording all the lectures with the same dedication and even better clarity.



At this stage, I do not want to compromise on quality by rushing or delivering half-prepared content. My priority has always been to provide conceptually strong, exam-oriented lectures that truly add value to your preparation.



Meanwhile, I am uploading compilation videos, which are extremely useful for revision. I strongly recommend you go through them—they will help you reinforce concepts and stay connected with the subject.



I request you to give me just one more week. The complete Biogeography module will be available very soon. If possible, I will also try to upload longer videos so that we can cover the syllabus faster without breaking continuity.

Clarification for Geography Optional Students

Dear students,

I would like to clarify an important conceptual point related to stunting and wasting, which are frequently asked in UPSC Geography Optional.

Correct definitions (WHO):

• Stunting means low height-for-age and reflects chronic undernutrition.
• Wasting means low weight-for-height and reflects acute undernutrition.

In a few earlier Food Security lectures, these two terms were inadvertently interchanged.

The correct explanation has been provided in Food Security – Part 5, and students are advised to follow that definition for examination purposes.
