How much rocker is good and what type of rocker? How does it work in conjunction with the carbon plate? How can you test the rocker in the shop?
Understand what is meant by rocker when talking about running shoes, what are the 4 rockers in the gait cycle, and how the shoe rocker contributes to faster and more efficient running.
The shoe rocker serves different purposes and has different roles related to the ankle dorsiflexion, the bending of the toes and the tension on the arch and plantar fascia. It has an impact on your stride and your running style. It allows for energy saving and more efficient use of your Achilles tendon's recoil effect.
But there are also some warnings to be made and some risks to be aware of.
