Chlorophyll (which gives leaves their green color)
Breaks down and other pigments like anthocyanin
Become more visible.

Anthocyanin appears red, purple, or blue
Depending on the pH levels in the leaf cells.
This natural process gives the leaves
Their vibrant red hues during the autumn season.
