Belchertown Public Accountability is a local civic and public-record channel focused on transparency, public comment, public records, lawful complaint procedures, and accountability for public officials.
This channel documents concerns involving Belchertown government, especially police accountability, internal investigations, recordings, public records, POST complaints, and the public’s right to seek outside review when a police department investigates its own officers.
The purpose is to help residents document concerns, preserve video and audio evidence, use public records, speak at public meetings, and file complaints with POST — the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission — when appropriate.
This channel is not anti-police. It is pro-accountability, pro-transparency, and pro-fair process.
