WE ARE BACK

Not only will we have videos going up on Mondays, we now will have videos going up on Thursdays! I have more time during the week now to get stuff done (fortunately and unfortunately) so we will have gameplay on Mondays and either more gameplay on Thursdays or a Monologue video. This week will be the week I get the format overview update published. So be on the lookout for that!

Also let me know how you guys feel about WOTC doing...Limited...for the top 8 of the MODERN Pro Tour. I don't like it, but I'm not sure if I should do a whole video on it. They have 3 other Standard Pro Tour level events they could have done it for and they chose the Modern one to try it. Pretty unfortunate.

So I managed to get hit wth some nasty food poisoning this week from a certain establishment that may or may not have a Bell in their logo. Was in and out of a fever for a couple of days and really couldn't focus writing or editing. It totally messed up my plan for getting this long form format overview video done. So no video up tomorrow, I am going to keep working on it and when it's done I'll ping you all ahead of the day it goes up.

Appreciate you all understanding. You guys are the best and wouldn't be here without you all.

Taking a week off, but not taking a week off. I have an RCQ I'm playing in on Saturday and am also working on another long form video going over the format now that it has settled down after the BNR that saw Phlage and Lotus Field get banned and Violent Outburst and Jitte get unbanned. We also have this Marvel set that just got released which to be honest has been underwhelming from a Modern format perspective. Though it is nice to have a bit of a respite from Universes Beyond cards effecting our format.

We also have the Modern Pro Tour coming up in a couple of weeks. So hopefully this will be a good primer for that and after that weekend expect a video with my thoughts and analysis somewhat soon there after as we start looking forward to the Regional Championship season.

Thank you all for supporting the channel. This year has been incredible with us hitting 1k subscribers and hopefully you guys enjoy this next video!

I appreciate you all tuning in as this has been a crazy week and a half of content for me. Generally with my schedule I'm a 1 video and 1 short a week guy, but with hitting 1k subs and then Monday having the format being completely flipped on it's head, I had to try and put out some more stuff for all of you. I mean who could imagine being a Modern channel and not at least putting out SOMETHING about these changes lol.

You can see my thoughts in the attached video. Yes I made a blunder on Consign in the Cascade deck, yes I am aware you can't do that effectively. This is what I get for pushing out content and also having a full time job lol.

Let me know what you think in the comments. We'll be back to our normal cadence this week. Here are the topical videos I have planned now that the format has changed:

- Pro Tour Preview: The Modern Pro Tour, and what I would consider the pivotal event of the format, is coming up starting on July 17th 2026. With our current shakeups I have plenty of thoughts on what the format will look like, but we have a few weeks here where RCQ season will really iron out what the best decks are again. So this will be exciting.

- Format Sideboard Guide: Yeah, been talking about this one for awhile, but now that Boros Energy, Jeskai Blink, and other former Phlage decks have changed, this one will be on the back burner a bit while the format settles. Still working on it though.

- An amended "What You Should Play in Modern" video: Plenty of new decks to talk about and we'll lightly go over some of the numbers as the format figures itself out.

Looks like Carmen finished the Living End love letter from last BNR with an unban of Violent Outburst of all things.

We got so used to Modern not seeing any changes. Now the format is going to be turned on its head into the final stretch to the Pro Tour.

What do you think? I'll be on with more of my thoughts this week.

The video is......complete! It will premier Wednesday, March 25th at 10am Pacific.

It's looking like our video is going to be out Tuesday or Wednesday of this week instead of our normal Monday morning. Turns out, these deck overviews take awhile to piece together and I'm about halfway done with card images and the like.

Good news though!

This means that I can probably make some amends to the video depending on how Monday's BNR announcement goes for the format. I would be surprised if any changes are made (not that they are not needed to spice things up, please give us some unbans WOTC), but who knows what happens being as RCQ season is just about here.

Thanks again for all of your support, our channel growth has been incredible these past 6 months and we are still on the way up! Also let us know in the comments what Modern video content you'd like to see me take a crack at that I haven't done yet!
